That's interesting. Instead of going full robo-ump. Give each side 2 challenges for balls and strikes only. If they challenge then the stadium shows the pitch on the main screen showing whether it hit the plate or not and they go with that. Fast, easy, and moving on. If you're going to go to Statcast calls, then go all in. But they should be 3D since it is possible to be in the zone briefly as it passes through the zone. They will also have to establish whether any portion, half or the whole ball has to be over the plate for a strike. The only part of the strike zone that should require adjustment to the players is the bottom and top of the zone. Standardizing the adjustments across all parks will be required.

My 15 year was playing on his phone. He looked to me and asked "what did I miss, dad" And you said: I breast not tell you. His son doesn't need to be kept abreast of the situation.

So some of the final postseason lines for our key guys:
Altuve: .329/.366/.605 (.971 OPS) Bregman: .234/.364/.469 (.832 OPS) Correa: .191/.257/.382 (.639 OPS) Springer: .205/.318/.425 (.742 OPS) Brantley: .286/.367/.329 (.696 OPS) Yordan: .241/.323/.345 (.668 OPS) Gurriel: .250/.286/.375 (.661 OPS)
Verlander: 1-4 4.33 ERA Cole: 4-1 1.72 ERA Greinke: 0-2 4.68 ERA
When you look at those lines, it's pretty impressive that we even made it to a Game 7 in the WS... Only two hitters with what would be considered above-average production from an OPS standpoint, and only one of them game-changing. And only one of our vaunted starting pitchers had an ERA under 4.
