What concerns me as a Stros fan is if it comes down to playing at the Trop. History hasn't been good in that venue, no matter what caliber team the Rays put on the field. Also I admire Kevin Cash as a manager, he is one that will go to the small ball game, and play old fashion Baseball. The Yankees just finished a series in there scoring one run in two games, with one of them going extra innings. They are a team of unknown bunch of players with nothing to lose. That's the most f'uped park in mlb. The Rays have played half their games there so they have experience with that mess. I'd rather face a better team in a proper park. Not that RingCentral is all that 'proper' with the great expanses of real estate in foul territory, but it's a lot closer to normal. We all know who we WANT to go to the World Series in 2019 from the AL. Who do you think will be there in the NL? Will it be the Dodgers for the 3rd straight year? And if so do you see a Buffalo Bills scenario or are they more scary because 3x the charm? I think the Braves have a really good chance to sneak through. They're hungry and I'm picking them to get to the big dance. I think Milwaukee will make it to the WS. Which, for me as a Braun hater, is the worst case scenario. That would suck.

Word on the street is that Manfred is in full panic attack mode thinking about what happen in a Yellic-less Brew Crew somehow sneaks deeply in the post season bracket. That part I like.

Michelle Margeaux has quit her jobs with the Astros/Rockets broadcasts. Since I don't watch the NBA, i am not familiar with her work with the Rockets. She sucked at what she did on Astros games. She came across as not knowing anything about baseball. I understand wanting a pretty face but at least find one who has a clue as to what she is talking about. Julia is vastly superior to Michelle.

A's decided that Manaea would start the wild card game. Melvin said it was a difficult decision to decide between Manaea and Fiers. I guess this means if the A's win, Fiers goes against Verlander in Game one.

What do rules say about replacing an injured player on your roster after the series begins? I am asking because depending on Correa staying healthy is questionable. It is allowed. I just ran across this concerning replacing an injured player after a playoff roster is submitted: “Teams submit a 25-man roster prior to each round of the postseason comprised of postseason-eligible players. A club may request permission from the Commissioner's Office to replace a player who is injured during the course of a series, but that player is then ineligible for the rest of that round and the subsequent round, if there is one. A pitcher may be replaced only by another pitcher, and a position player only by another position player.” If I understand this correctly, if Correa is put on the ALDS roster and afterward the team replaces him on the ALDS roster due to him being injured, he would be ineligible to be on the ALCS roster.... or if he is put on the ALCS roster and afterward the team replaces him on the ALCS roster due to him being injured, he would be ineligible for the WS roster.

Those rules enforce why I would be afraid of having Correa on the roster. I know he will be there, but, it is risky. On the other hand, his "issues" may suddenly clear up ane he plays like we have seen him play in the past, like the 2017 WS.

You shut your stupid alien face. Julia is precious. I find her more irritating then precious. For a single, older guy whose main hobbies are singing with other older men and coin collecting, you might not want to be so picky....

Lord help us, M240 has stirred up the conspiracy theorist. Won't be long until Marshall sees the bat-signal and comes into the thread to talk about "demoncrats". Now who would you be talking about? You guys know that Google bought Dish don't you.

Yasmani Grandal has rejuvenated his hitting since he left the Dodgers. He’s going to make good money next year.

Being a Nats fan is like what it used to be like as an Astros fan. They just don’t rise up for big games.

Can somebody explain to me what they find so annoying about Julia? Do y’all use her as your sole source of legitimate baseball information?

Yasmani Grandal has rejuvenated his hitting since he left the Dodgers. He’s going to make good money next year. The Dodgers had him actually benched last season. I wonder what his asking price will be, he turned down 40-45 mill contract last off season from the Mets. I cannot remember for how many years though.
