The worst part about the Dodgers losing (well, the only negative really) is that it probably puts the cheating Cardinals into the World Series. Perfect. We can sweep them and get ultimate revenge.

I'm really worried about tonight. My husband says we got it but I'm not so sure. How dare you be worried, superfan? After watching the Dodgers implode last night, I can't help but be a little worried.

I'm really worried about tonight. My husband says we got it but I'm not so sure. I'm worried too. On paper we should win. But too much can happen in this game, and espeically one game that tilts the scales the other way. Umpiring, blooper hits, zombie hitters, etc.

Why would he bring in Kershaw for a second inning? Because he is too stupid to figure out that Kershaw blows it in the post season every time he is in that situation. I also think they have lost confidence in Jansen.

I know analytics are the big thing now, and it is probably a great tool for the first 162 games. Seems like a flawed process in the post season. (exception our '17 season of course)

I agree. Do you think he gets fired today? Hopefully not. IF he isn't fired, I can almost guarntee he'll get a 2020 ultimatum. WS win or gone.

Sherwin, do you remember on the old board how we always made fun of Bear's man-crush on Hinch? I can verify that, yes. I guess looking back I gave the manager too much credit. A lot of that praise belonged to Harris Hinch is going to look awfully stupid trying to hold the bullpen together next season if W was the glue doing that and he's on a different team

They’re screwed if Harris leaves. Yes, I just said that. Regarding Hinch, I think he did a masterful job in 2017 considering his closer was utter garbage. The problem I have with him is he’s too loyal. Although he knows to remove Osuna and Pressly from problem situations, he does things like stick with Reddick because it’s what he’s used to doing and because he’s nice. Reddick doesn’t deserve more time to be a constant out and to damage equipment. I’m rooting for the guy, but if it’s not working it’s not working.

(exception our '17 season of course) if Hinch had managed the 2017 post season using only analytics, we would not have won the WS. He knew his bullpen was weak and turned to Morton, Peacock, and McCullers in relief when needed. Unfortunately, we rewarded Morton for winning two game sevens for js by not offering him a new contract. I know I have said this before, but, not re-signing Morton is the biggest blunder Luhnow has made. He will probably finish third in the Cy Young voting pitching for the team trying to knock us out. Relying on analytics may have cost Roberts his job......sometimes common sense and gut feeklings have to enter the picture.

Word on MLB network is that the only change in our lineup tonight will be Maldonado catching instead of Chirinos. I expected that since Cole is used to Maldonado and is successful with him catching him. So, we get another game of Reddick doing nothing. If he, Bramtley, Correa, and Springer follow what they have done so far, Cole has to pitch a shutout for us to have a chance. Reddick needs to be benched.

Someone should strap Hinch to a lie detector and ask him if Reddick helps the lineup offensively.

For playoff baseball, and so much at stake, I think the lineup should be a state secret, and either be presented at the latest point possible, or throw out a false one early, and then change. This is absolutlely no reason to give our opponent an opportunity to mentally prepare for the game.

Fun Fact:As of 2:30pm today, the Rays lineup has been confirmed but the Astro lineup has not been confirmed. On various baseball lineup sites, any listing of the Astros lineup is currently shown as 'expected' or 'projected'.
