107-55 1st in MLB 1st in run differential Team OPS+: 119 Team ERA+: 127
Glasnow vs. Cole
Well, we bypassed a lot of extra rest during the end of the season in order to get this homefield advantage. Hopefully it pays off this series. It's been a fantastic season, but failure to get out of the ALDS would be very disappointing. I want to shout out to Altuve. He received a lot of abuse over the season for various reasons, but the guy has been easily the most consistent performer this postseason so far, and has done an excellent job. Hopefully he can have another good game today, and help lead this team back to the ALCS for the 3rd year in a row.

I look for Springer to have a big game. It would be great if he homered in his first at-bat to set the tone for the Astros. Although Reddick is hitless in the series, I think he will start. He was 2-2 vs Glasnow in the regular season and he scorched the ball pretty good last night. That will probably be enough to get him the start in game 5.

Right now, Altuve is the team. I agree........He has come through in each game. Brantley and Reddick have been no-shows. No power from Springer or Gurriel. Correa had two hits in game two, He has been great defensively but not a lot with the bat. In short. this great "1-7" lineup has sucked. As for Reddick, I'd bench his ass and play Tucker.

When you’ve got a struggling veteran like Reddick, who’s been terrible going on three postseasons in a row, I don’t see what Hinch owes him anymore.

Hinch owes the team the best chance to win and keeping Reddick in the lineup seems like a mistake.

Altuve is the leader of this team and I for one am very happy he's on our team. I see that you still think pointing out a player's mistakes classifies as abuse. I guess that is typical of someone who resorts to playing the race card when no evidence is available to refute the so-called "abuse". I have never said I didn't want Altuve on the team. In fact, I have posted just the opposite on many occasions. Being happy he is on the team doesn't elevate his IQ and he still makes too many baserunning blunders and swings at too many pitches he should take. Althve is a leader but George Springer is the one who ignites the offense and he has not done that in this series. Altuve has been our best player through the first four games.......Brantley and Reddick have both been no-shows. Brantley has a history of tankimg in the post season and he is doing it again. Correa has played outstanding defense but drug his ass out of the box last night and failed to run out a ground ball. I sure hope he doesn't have another "issue" similar to those that have caused his many vacations.

His many baserunning mistakes earned him the title of team dumbass. Last night, Gary Pettis was the dumbass who got Jose thrown out at the plate and killed a potential rally.

You can deny it all you want, but we have so much proof on this board alone to show otherwise. Simmer down and try reading......Where did I deny calling Altuve a dumbass? I have NEVER denied denied calling him a dumbass and I have done so many times......each time after he had a brain cramp and made a mental blunder on the bases or swinging wildly at the plate or bunting with two outs in the 9th with a runner on base and two runs was needed to tie......that was stupid I don't care who did it. For you to equate pointing out mistakes with "abuse" is definitely ridiculous. I don't think I' m the only one who has pointed out that he is a dumbass, but, since I am "just an old racist",you choose to concentrate on me. That's fine if it makes you feel better. You are beginning to sound like Nancy Pelosi or Kamala Harris. I repeat.......I haver denied calling Altuve a dumbass......If you say I did, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills.
Just because you idolize Altuve doesn't mean he can do no wrong. He is a leader but he is NOT the most valuable position player on the team.......Bregman and Springer are the top two......Jose is #3 at best. We could afford to lose him more than we could the other two.
