Simmer down and try reading......Where did I deny calling Altuve a dumbass? I have NEVER denied denied calling him a dumbass and I have done so many times......each time after he had a brain cramp and made a mental blunder on the bases or swinging wildly at the plate or bunting with two outs in the 9th with a runner on base and two runs was needed to tie......that was stupid I don't care who did it. For you to equate pointing out mistakes with "abuse" is definitely ridiculous. I don't think I' m the only one who has pointed out that he is a dumbass, but, since I am "just an old racist",you choose to concentrate on me. That's fine if it makes you feel better. You are beginning to sound like Nancy Pelosi or Kamala Harris. I repeat.......I haver denied calling Altuve a dumbass......If you say I did, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills. Let the "racist" thing go, you old reprobate. It was one comment. Gladly........just as soon as she stops saying that any criticism of Altuve, Correa, or anyone else is "abuse". I simply responded to her and she needs to let it drop, too. I never denied calling Altuve a dumbass and she knows it

I think we all are a little nervous with way the team is going, even coach. That's not Corch...this is corch:

But is that in support of Altuve, or in defiance of Corch? It's in defense of Altuve. I don't recall ever insulting Altuve. Questioning decisions? Questioning health? Absolutely. But I don't recall any insults. I still say Altuve hasn’t been the same in terms of speed since last year. Sure, I don’t like Pettis, but I think the old Altuve scores on that relay. He’s fast but he’s not “almost as fast as Trout” fast like he was in the first half of last season. With less than two outs, they can’t send Altuve home from first.

I don't think he was expecting to be sent on that and had started to break it down before he got to 3rd.

The offense doing jack squat led to Pettis sending Altuve. That’s the problem.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume that Verlander had issues outside of just short rest. With that said, I'm gald he got that out of the way in a game where the offense didn't show up anyhow rather than in Game #5 and we lose the series.
I'm also hopeful that he can fix that issue before next round (assuming Cole and the offense do their thing)
May have turned out to be a blessing if that's the case.

If Cole comes up clutch tomorrow, I think the fans need to prepare a petition asking Crane/ Luhnow to sign him up for 5 years before going to the FA market.

Interesting....the Yankees clinched their series in Minnesota. The Cardinals clinched their series in ATL. The Nationals clinched their series in LA. Will Tampa clinch their series in Houston? Stay tuned Astro fans. If the Astros lose tonight the word choke will come up.

If the Astros lose tonight the word choke will come up. And rightfully so. (1) 107 wins lead the league, and when that best seeded team loses to a WC? (2) Has a rotation of Verlander, Cole, and Greinke? (3) Lineup that contains the likes of Spinger, Brantley, Altuve, and Bregman? (4) Up to 2-0, and then loses it all? ...... Yes that is choking, and I have no problem saying it.

I choose to use the analogy of flipping a coin 4 times, and after the 3rd, you have 3 Heads. Though truly that 4th Head toss is 50:50, the probability at onset is a ittle over 6%. I really think 4 road clinches in an LDS would be a fairly rare event. Furthermore, if you would put complex calculations, based on baseball parameters, I'd bet that probability is even lower considering for this event ..(1) Higher seed 3-0 sweep and (2) all Higher seeds lose Game 5.

The offense has to show up. Or they will have choked.

I’d like to say I feel sorry for LA, but I don’t. I could see Cole going to LA. Roberts appears to have mismanaged again. Keyshaw is snake bit..badly.

I have been saying all along, Cole will net $40M / annually. I still stand by that. Watch for a LAD / NYY bidding war. Kershaw... now post season 9-11, 4.43 era, and over a 1.1 WHIP. I don't think he is as snake bit, as much as he just doesn't perform under pressure well. Roberts management helped us win in 2017. Watch team ownership finally realizing that they are pissing away great teams with his malfeasance. 70% chance he is jettisoned.

I think that if we win tonight and go on to win the WS, our chances of re-signing Cole increase. If we lose tonight, I could see Crane and Luhnow taking the position that, “if we couldn’t win this year with the team we have assembled, why invest $35 million a year +/- into keeping Cole?”

Stay tuned Astro fans. If the Astros lose tonight the word choke will come up. If the Astros lose tonight, they will have earned the title of "chokers" for having the best starting rotation in the game, supposedly have the best 1-7 hitters in baseball and blowing a series to the team with a bargain basement payroll. No excuses for losing unless our hitters keep doing nothing.
