Greinke vs Paxton?
Either way, Greinke brings us to a Game #1 win

Yeah, I don’t know what it is but I have good feeling about Grienke facing the Yankees. I think his slow off speed stuff will give their power bats fits.

Ironically, Cole pitching Game 3 in NY might not be a bad thing...NY is tough at home, so having a super-elite pitcher in Cole could be the best way to offset their home field prowess... This series might go 7, but I like our chances with Yankees having to beat Verlander or Cole in either of their outings...I trust Greinke can win 1 of his 2 outings... Will be interesting to see who the Astros go in Game 4....maybe more of a Rays approach, if the the bullpen was not taxed in Game 3.

Only having one day off is also a point in the Astros' favor, I think. Gives them a chance to rest but not lose the momentum they finally built up in Game 5. You could see they really got their confidence back.

Really don't know what they're going to do with Reddick. Can they really allow him to remain a black hole in the lineup? Is his defense enough for the 9 hole?

I think Hinch has to give Tucker a few more starts in this series. I thought that also in games 4 & 5 but it didn't happen, so what do I know?!

Does Paxton still have a pulled ass?

At least Greinke will be at home. Man, I was so wrong about Greinke against the Rays. I figured he’d sweep since he is better at bigger parks.

Does Paxton still have a pulled ass? That'll happen when your nickname is Big Maple, lol.

I don't think there is a chance they'll do it, but I'd like to see Diaz get a start in LF and Brantley moved to RF. He looked really good in August and September. Got on base very well.
The defense would be weaker, but we could always make some changes later in the game.
The other option would be Straw in CF and Springer in LF. I'd give Tucker another start also.
Plenty of options available...

Tucker's not relegating Reddick to the bench with the lackluster at-bats he's had. They've both disappointed

My personal choice would be Straw getting a start. Have him hit 9th, lay some bunts down, work some deep counts as he does. Our defense remains just as good if not better, and we likely get more out of the 9th hole. Plus, we could steal a little more.

Tucker's not relegating Reddick to the bench with the lackluster at-bats he's had. They've both disappointed My main problem with Tucker is he has a really long Adam Dunn swing so his eye and timing have to be absolutely perfect. All that being said, they’re wasting his time having him on the roster with Ric Flair over there striking out and throwing his helmet every time. News flash, Josh: you’re not a good postseason hitter.

Plenty of options available... Why would we start a guy in left field in the ALCS who has spent most of the year as a utility infielder? Hinch won't even consider such a move and I'm glad he won't....You weaken two outfield positions with that move. I am not suggesting it,but, don't be surprised if Marisnick starts in CF in game one with Springer in RF. If it were me, I'd probably stay with Brantley-Springer-Reddick for game one. I don't expect Straw to do anything except pinch run and Hinch skipped over a couple of chances to do that against the Rays, Right now, I wonder why he kept straw on the roster if he doesn't plan to use his strength which is speed on the bases. I can go along with your idea of giving Straw a start against Paxton for the reasons you mentioned.

Tucker's not relegating Reddick to the bench with the lackluster at-bats he's had. They've both disappointed Tucker's movements and mannerisms/body habitus is the least athletic that I've seen in a long time, considering the relative success he's had as an athlete.

Tucker, Straw, and Díaz need to hit because we need some offense off the bench.

Hinch and some players are being interviewed and it's on facebook Hinch followed by Greinke.......Greinke might as well to have told them to kiss his ass because they didnt't get squat from him.

Greinke needs to pitch better to be cute with the media, imo. He has no personality. That’s just how he is, but I agree that he needs to step up even more than our offense.

Greinke needs to pitch better to be cute with the media, imo. He wasn't being cute. You could tell he was agitated by their stupid questions. When asked if the long layoff effected his performance against the Rays, he answered with total silence. He did basically the same when asked what he had to do to be successful against the yankees. He does what I have wanted some of them to do........ignore these dumbasses who ask the same stupid, repetitive questions over and over.

I loved it when one of these media idiots tried to get Springer to criticize Greinke for being quiet and George shut him down by telling him it's OK to be quiet and that Greinke is a great teammate who wants to win. These media parasites who try to stir up shit at this time of the year make me sick.

Some of it is how Greinke is with his emotional/anxiety issues, and some of it is him being a little full of himself. He has a history of it.

The worst question was yesterday when that jackass Mexican reporter asked Cole and Bregman if they were more relieved the Dodgers were eliminated.
