Some of it is how Greinke is with his emotional/anxiety issues, and some of it is him being a little full of himself. He has a history of it. I know about his issues. I just hate the media morons and their stupid questions. Sports press conferences are nothing more than stupid questions and clichefests

So with Verlander and Cole going Game #6 and #7 if needed, if the Astros win the first two game at home is the series over at that point?

Paxton? ? ? ? ? That was Paxton's best role, of all his movies....2nd was Weird Science.....I liked Tombstone, he was okay in it, but Val Kilmer (Doc Holiday) was by far the best.

What about Leon the Professional? 6th Element? It's 5th Element, and both of the movies you mentioned were played by Gary Oldman....who is/was a better actor than Paxton.

Back home finally. Got to watch game 5 and man did that first inning put me at ease. Before that I was a bit n n n n nervous. I actually think that the Yankees will give us less trouble than the Rays did. But if our boys do not put their big boy pants on and start hitting who knows. Looking forward to this one.

Article on Astros .com says Astros likely to carry 12 pitchers and 13 position players this round. I definitely think that Abreu needs to be added as well as Peacock. Abreu is tough on lefties and has the wicked breaking stuff that gives the swing-for-the-fences types a fit. I think Miley should be dropped in favor of Abreu. Peacock, if he is right and healthy, is tough on righties. Which position player do you think they drop to make room for Peacock? Tucker or Straw? Frankly, I think the best move would be to drop Reddick, but that ain’t gonna happen.

Tucker had that o crap look on his face the only at bat that I saw in the Rays series. Drop him. Straw adds something with his speed plus he is right handed.

If Peacock is 100%, he should be on the roster. My guess is Peacock replacing Tucker. No way to they leave Reddick off.

I admit Tucker has not impressed, but Reddick also contributed to Game 5 by striking out and throwing his helmet on the ground and back up into his chest. Maybe Straw would be okay.

What time today is the deadline for submitting a ALCS rosters? Hopefully at the very last possible moment. Don't give the phallic yankers any pre-prepatory time.

One of these potential 7 games will require eiither Miley or Uriquidy start
Treat it as a traditonal start or pull a DRay pitch by committe tactic? I vote for the latter.

No way should Miley be on the ALCS roster. I think they will start Urquidy and he will be on a short leash. He will probably remain in the game as long as he is effective until his pitch count gets out of hand. If he isn’t effective early, I think AJ shifts gears and goes to the committee approach.

The D ray approach has worked well for them but the weakness of it is that you have to count on way too many pitchers being on their games. When you throw that many guys out there one of them is going to lay and egg.

Straw as a starter has only a .221 BA (19/86) with limited power. And since they don't run with him anyhow he is a liability in the Yank series. Guess the Astros are not going to play small ball in the ALCS.
Funny how Straw is one of a few players to have a lower Slugging % than OB%
Astros are also 34-22 (.607) when Straw plays compared to Marisnick's 84-36 (.700)

If Houston can win today then we have Cole/Verlander for 4 of the last 6 games if needed.
Meaning even if the Yanks beat Urquidy in game #4 and Greinke in game #5 they still have to beat Cole/Verlander twice.

Did Marisnick make the roster over Straw? They must think he sucks. Jake is on it.........did you really expect anything else? They didn't use Straw at all against the Rays. I would have kept Straw over Tucker for this round. After seeing the limeup, I see why Tucker made it.

Tucker getting the start over Reddick is a good move.
