For what it's worth, ZG has downright dominated the Nationals during his career. 6-1 1.27 ERA (1.11 ERA in Washington)

Didn't Bregman take the blame after Game 1? He said he wasn't doing his job and had to figure it out. Actually I don't know why I'm asking since I just read an article about it. Still though, the same people saying Biggio and Bagwell were too bland are now saying Bregman is too cocky. What are we looking for?? Why the hell was he doing his IBB sign at the screen after homering in the first inning? What a joke.

I hope they discussed sweeping the leg in the players only meeting. Bregman's gonna have to show humility at some point if he's going to continue to choke in the postseason like this I don't get where his assuredness comes from if he lacks confidence in his abilities These guys don’t know that when you strut around and boast, you make yourself a target. I couldn’t believe he showed off after his home run when he’s been the most disappointing player in the postseason.

No one said anything about bland, son. We said the same thing about B&B as we said about Bregman...they sucked in the postseason. So does he. Weren't you literally making fun of their generic remarks just like a week or two ago? Come on now. be fair. And I wouldn't say any of them completely sucked in the postseason. They all had some good series mixed in with the bad ones. They just weren't close to consistently good. Even Altuve was bad in the 2017 WS. Reddick now, Reddick sucks in the postseason. Their remarks? You mean in interviews? WGAS about their interviews? I'm talking about performance and acting cocky on the field/dugout.

For the record, I've never been a fan of Bregman's cockiness. But, I think he is getting an awful amount of hate when he has been amazing for us the majority of the time. Everybody slumps.

Those requirements do narrow the field, don’t they? It sounds like the primary leaders are Verlander and Altuve. Which makes sense.

Were we not talking about Bregman continuing to strut and flash his gang signs during the game even though he's sucked ass the entire playoffs? Why you conflate that into a discussion about Biggio being a terrible interviewee is beyond me.

So taking your take and Corch's, I would surmise too much cocky right now, definitely four fingers is not wanted.......on a different note, the Nats have: "Baby Shark"....maybe the Astros need to counter with "What does the Fox Say?" I suggest pitching around Rendon and Soto.....make the others beat us

Baseball is more luck based than any other sport. Hell, it's the only sport where you depend on a different person to get you through the game every day.
In football you have 1 QB hopefully for all 16 games. Imagine if your QB could only throw once every 5 games?
Imagine your PG only playing every 5 games and you have to find consistency.
That's why baseball is so great because of the possibilities and why a team can't win 90% of their games in the year line baseball and football can. Downside is, anybody can win at any given day.
Now if the World Series was played every 5 days and we were able to use Cole in every game, then our chances of winning 4 out of 7 would be even higher. But it's not that way

When you’re the lead guy in the postseason for two straight years and don’t produce, you get your share of criticism. People would be easier on him if he weren’t such a showboater. I myself get on him because of the hate Álvarez gets. I think to myself wait, isn’t he a rookie? The big money cleanup guy is a bigger letdown.

It just hasn't been amazing production. He has an .842 OPS this postseason, and he had an excellent 1.178 OPS last postseason. The misplay and error last night were more upsetting than his offensive production because at least he had been getting on base really well while slumping. P.S. He is only making $640K this year.

That $640k doesn't include the millions he got as a sign-on bonus, though
