Just read an article on how pi**ed the Angels players are at the Astros. Specifically Andrew Heaney had a lot of negative things to say. www.mlb.com/news/angels-react-to-astros-sign-stealingAll I will say is the Angels organization has their own skeletons. They literally let a ballplayer OD on their watch by giving him access to terrible drugs. |

Those storied franchises remind me of Jack and the bean stalk. Jack started out as gullible boy and turned into a thief. Then he became a murderer and Hero. Sounds like Democrats and MLB to me.

Why aren't the Royals, Mariners, Orioles, Blue Jays, etc whining and bellyaching? We beat them, too. But, they were expected to lose so nobody cares. It's just the under-achieving losers who got their asses handed to them........Yankees, Red Sox, A's, Dodgers, and now the most over-rated losers in the bunch, the Angels, come out from under their rocks to cry "foul". Screw Andrew Heaney. He's been a loser all of his short career....Most people don't even know who he is. As Lance just said, the Angels allowed a pitcher to OD on drugs that were available to him. Hell, they cannot police their own team so they need to shut the hell up. Screw the Angels. |

The line between cheating and learning the nuances of the Major League game are not as stark as some profess (whether they believe it or not.) It has long been part of the game to STEAL signs, look for tells and even STEAL bases. Even substances on baseballs were once legal and only became illegal later.
Being on the leading edge of the technological revolution has led to a violation of the rules relatively recently clarified by the commissioner. Some players believed they didn't really mean it because they faced it elsewhere and didn't want to be at a disadvantage. Some coaches actually teach techniques they believe are acceptable, if not legal in order to maintain competitiveness. Throwing at a batter for prior "unacceptable" behavior is common, even though it is against the rules. They have learned you can get away with a warning most times and it's considered "protecting" team mates.
I'd love to have had a report like this done when they started using lip readers during mound visits. It's the same technology and intent, but the clubs using it were MLB favorites so teams just started putting their gloves over their mouths. They still do. Does that mean it's acceptable, even though it's against the rules because they are SPECIAL.
Darned. I want to come here to get away from injustice that is a daily occurrence in partisan politics. I guess there's no relief anywhere.

With all this talk of opposing pitchers throwing at our batters this year to retaliate for the sign stealing, Crane should hire Kyle Farnsworth as an assistant coach. Assistant bench coach..., assistant bullpen coach. Call him what you want. His presence on the Astros bench would discourage other teams from starting a bench clearing brawl. Farnsworth likes to fight and has a black belt in karate. He would probably jump at the chance to be the team enforcer. I am serious about this.

I guess you think Crane should have offered to return the AL pennant and the WS title. They handled it perfectly when pressured by the media for more. They should told the airhead from SI that they had answered the questions and she was not going to get more and that no individual was going to be thrown under the bus even though Cora and Beltran belong under a bus. Everyone casually forgets that the road record in 2017 was better than the home record and that we beat the crybaby Dodgers twice in their own stadium during the WS. Hell no, we should not give back the title nor should we say it is tainted. |

He referred the answers to the some of the questions to the commissioner's report and that was the right thing to do. These reporters kept wanting Crane name individuals and throw some under the bus.....he did not. They wanted him to say we should either give the WS title back or that it was tainted. He gave them a great answer.....NO. It was obvious that the players who are speaking have been coached as to how to handle it and that is bow it should be. You want consistent information. All need to be on the same page. |

Wait till the offseason Grienke then deadline Verlander.
Get all the young and up comming top flight Prospects we can. And stay out of the lite.
Js this will never go away until we get clear and we would get ahead of this crap that might still be comming down.

I saw awhile ago where an LA TV station is blasting Altuve's apology and calling him an "Astros cheater". I am sure they want him to give back the MVP and batting titles. I think they have said about all that needs to be said....People are not going to change their current opinions no matter what the players say. I wish they would refuse to answer more questions and just go play. I wonder what excuses the Dodgers have for their big sluggers having so many K's against our pitchers. We didn't cheat to do that. I don't give a damn what opposing players say......it has nothing to do with what the Astros should do now. |
