When the Stros were in the NL West they were the number one target for me. LA and NY are both much worse than Chicago. The Yankees will have more pressure to win a WS than the Stros this season. It will be nice to see them crash. I will go on record Cole will not duplicate his season. Especially pitching in April in the Northeast.

I always thought that Gomez was the band end of the Gomez/Fiers trade. Turns out Luhnow traded for his own destruction.

A little remninder for Bellinger.......you hit .143 and struck out 17 times in the WS. Turner hit .160 and drove in ZERO runs. Let's hear your excuses

All the banging did was inflate some numbers against teams dumb enough to not mix up their signs. They deserve to be punished for it, which they were, but all the rest of this is being overblown. It may be overblown, but we better get used to it because it's not going away any time soon. ST games will be just a small taste of what it's going to be like once the regular season begins. Road games are going to be something never before seen on a baseball field...

You are right on there. The experts were on the same wave length stating most likely less than what the Stros received. At first I thought Boston would receive a similar punishment..., maybe not quite as harsh..., but similar to what the Astros received. Now that Manfred has seen what he has unleashed from the media and fans, I think he will determine that his investigation into Boston’s sign-stealing has determined that they did little or nothing wrong.

I anticipate the Astros players will be involved in multiple bench-clearing brawls this year. Some will be a result of opposing pitchers throwing at our guys. Some will be a result of smartass comments made to our base runners by opposing teams’ infielders or by opposing teams’ base runners to our infielders, etc.
I am seriously concerned for the safety of our players in every city we travel to. Crazy fans attacking our guys at the ballpark and away from the ballpark. I hope Fiers is proud of himself.
Our guys better commit right now to going all in to protect each other.

If they decide to do more, we have to fight fire with fire. Take no prisoners.

There was a Yankee fan at the Astros facility banging on a trash can while Altuve, Bregman and Correa were taking batting practice. Bum should of been thrown out of the place. Hey it's a good warmup. They'll get way worse than that. Yes they need to embrace the suck. Stop apologizing and just embrace the suck. For the big dogs in the bunch whether you cheated or not you allowed it so embrace it and move on.

It is going to be bad enough playing at Yankee Stadium, but going through the NL East. The pens in NY and Philly are too close being fan friendly.

They've apologized enough and are still getting hammered. Even when Correa tried to be completely open and honest about what is accurate and what isn't. You can pick out practically any team and find cases of cheating and/or unethical behavior. All of these people throwing stones and spreading false rumors are just giving in to mob mentality. At some point it's time to just embrace the hate, say f*ck you to whomever whines, and go kick some ass. Winning another pennant (or more) would feel really good. Some of the guys are starting to hit back, saying we're gonna win and shut everyone up. Reddick and McCullers

I'm not familiar with that one. I really pissed off a Yankees fan on Twitter the other day. He couldn't understand why Astros fans were defending the team. I told him it was the same as when he cheated on his wife, she still loved him. He said f--- you. I hit a nerve and it brought a smile to my face.

I'm sure there will be added security at each and every game. The last two seasons being a Stros fan attending a game a Yankee Stadium, they were getting food and drink thrown on them in the good seats. I just can imagine what is going to happen this season. The police are not even respected on the streets of NY, being doused with water buckets and their cars being trashed. De Blasio is making that city a ghetto.

So apparently when it's the East Coast teams involved it's just the usual hijinks of baseball.

It's becoming more and more apparent that a large part of the media-driven outrage is the audacity of a middle-America team to take a system which had been in place for a long time and use it better than the ones who invented it. In doing so, they brought their team to edge of being a dynasty and that cannot be allowed to happen. What's even worse, that formerly also-ran team knew they were better than the sacred cows of baseball and let them know about it. How dare the Astros, a team which hadn't done a whole lot for 50 years, rise to eclipse the Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox. To make matters worse, they weren't the Royals, who rose briefly, won a championship, and then plummeted back down to where they belonged. No, this brash young group of Astros showed every sign of being able to maintain their dominance for the foreseeable future. The people who hated the Astros for rising to the top of the game by beating their sacred teams now had an excuse to unleash all the invective they had stored. "Aha! They weren't really better than us, it was all because they cheated!"
Look, what the Astros did was wrong. They cheated, Fiers took his ounce of revenge for sucking so bad he was left out of the playoffs, and they've been punished. I hate that it happened. It's endemic in MLB and the hypocrisy of the media and other fan bases just makes me want to vomit.

When will Boston be punished? As soon as the commissioner's office can figure out how to downplay what the Red Sox did. I'm sure a PR firm has been retained to put the best possible spin on what happened and it takes a while to come up with a lame excuse.
