Well, of course it's not tainted for Astros loyalists (except Bannedfan). I meant generally seen as tainted. I don't give a shit what others think. They don't matter. *****

I'm sounding more and more like Coach. How ironic - Coach is rubbing off on you? (Figuratively speaking) I am glad mom is seeing the light. LOL The reason I don't give a shit what others think and don't consider our WS title to be tainted is the crybabies are all using this as an excuse for tanking in the post season. Yankee and Dodger hitters went belly up againwt our pitchers.....If we stole signs, that had nothing to do with how bad their hitters were, especially Bellinger who was total crap in the WS at the plate and in the field. We should not care what they think and should stop answering questions because everyone has formed their own opinions and that won't change no matter what we say. So,let them bitch and moan while we prepare to go out and kick all of their asses. I remain a proud Astros fan just as I have been since we came into being as the Colt .45s back in 1962 when Bobby Shantz beat the Cubs and Roman Mejias hit two homers in the mosquito-infested sweat box known as Colt Stadium. I have suffered through all the losing seasons from the beginning. I was thrilled when we went to our first WS and got swept by the White Sox. I am damn proud of the WS title we won in 2017 and don't consider it tainted at all. I look forward to another one. For some reason, I expect the Astros to come out with an "us against the world" mentality and fight our way back to the WS. If we do that, the whiners will have to find new excuses for losing to us. In the meantime, I don't expect much to be done to the Red Sox no matter how guilty they are and they ae guilty as hell. Nobody will convince me that Cora didn't take his sign-stealing scheme to Boston and use it. The Yankees run the COB so I don't expect them to be investigated as long as the spineless Rob Manfred is commissioner.

I'm not familiar with that one. I really pissed off a Yankees fan on Twitter the other day. He couldn't understand why Astros fans were defending the team. I told him it was the same as when he cheated on his wife, she still loved him. He said f--- you. I hit a nerve and it brought a smile to my face. I told a barking Ranger fan the other day he's just mad that his team didn't think of it first
I'm not sure if I've taken on the attitude that we did nothing wrong, or if I'm looking for the retort that they don't expect

So the Toronto pitcher suing the Astros has added Crane and some other FO guys to the suit. I'm sure he is hoping for some type of settlement. Surely he doesn't believe that one or two bad outings against the Astros is what ruined his career. His career was awful before 2017. He was 8-15 with a 82 ERA+ and a 1.447 WHIP before 2017. In 2017 we rocked him twice, but he also gave up 3 or more runs 5 other times out of the remaining 9 appearances in 2017. He had a 5.47 ERA before he faced us the first time, and had given up 5 ER in 9.1 IP before his next appearance against us.
Time for pitchers from the steroid era to sue as well, if he wins this.

Yeah, but 3,000 hits and 500 bombs... Oh I'm nto saying he isn't deserving. Those 1800+ RBI is super impressive. But nobody talks or cares about him anymore. There are no supporters trying to get him in like with Santo. Maybe the Veteran's Committee in a decade or so revisits it. I think Palmeiro is out cause he was dishonest in front of Congress when asked straight up about using steroids
As opposed to Tim Raines who fessed up to cocaine use at the Pittsburgh drug trials when he played. This may be where the electors have decided to draw the line

No argument. It absolutely would, because the first one is forever tainted. It's not tainted for me. My opinions on some of the individual players' seasons number is lesser (like Marwin), but I still think they win that WS anyways. I honestly don't believe it influenced the postseason, and I don't think it made enough of a difference to affect the outcome of the divisional race that year when you see how far away 2nd place was.
The only thing that it might have affected would have been our playoff seed which could have had us play Game 7 of the ALCS in NYC. We'll never know if that's true or if we wouldn't have won that game anyways. I'm only going to view our championship as tainted if it gets nulled and other past winners have their's nulled when they used PED-users on their teams. And you proved the very reason why the WS and LCS are tainted, because we will never know definitively if We would have won anyway. It very well could have, it must have had some impact on the series. I mean knowing which pitch was coming was a huge advantage.

Mlb players are the very best in the world at hitting a baseball, and it is so much easier to hit it when you know a slider is coming and not a fastball. I've seen video where they laid off on some nasty breaking balls. Like Trout said knowing what pitch was coming would be fun.

You also don't know that we may not have done even better without it since we were better on the road when not using the system. And as we've seen, most of these teams knew there was something going on anyways (and some were doing similar stuff also), so they were countering it in the postseason (like the Nationals reported).

You're probably right. I don't see Palmeiro getting in until Rocket and Bonds do, if then. They all committed the same "crime", but those two were an order of magnitude better than Palmeiro.

You're probably right. McGwire is another example I can think of. He was defiant and hedgy about using Andro, while Bagwell was honest and forthright about it Bonds, Clemens & Palmeiro all lied about PEDs, and McGwire & Sosa did to a lesser extent. None of them have been inducted, but we'll see

Honestly, even though he's my favorite player and I believe he was deserving, I will always be surprised that Bagwell made it in.

You didn't care for a class act like Lance Berkman but are a huge fan of an immature attention-getter like Bregman. I saw nothing soft about Lance Berkman. I never saw him put peroxide in his hair to become a blonde so he could get more attention. I never saw him strut in the dugut and look for a TV camera. If either of them come across as "soft", it's Bregman.
