Hinch screwed up royally taking Greinke out in the 7th inning of Game 7. There's a good chance Washington would've won anyway 3-2 in the 16th or some ridiculous shit like that though biggest mistake Hinch has made as manager of the Astros. Should have stayed with Greinke and, if needed, go straight to Cole.

Only thing I can think of is the clipboard gave him a handjob that morning and now it's gonna have to give him another handjob just to get back in his good graces

Braves sign Will Smith. 3-years $39 million and a 4th year $13 million club option.

Abreu and Odorizzi are both accepting their QOs.
A little surprising for Abreu. I thought the White Sox and him would look at 2 or 3-year deal that would be worth more overall but less AAV than the QO this year.

Cole has officially rejected the QO.

Everybody but Smith, Odorizzi, and Abreu took their QOs.
Let the offseason officially begin.

Aaron is injured....I wouldn't be opposed to a minor league deal He is under contract to the Astros for 2020 at $5.6 million. If he is healthy and pitches as he has in the past and now being under Strom, he could be a bargain at that price. Actually, no. Sanchez is not under contract for 2020 at $5.6 million. He is controllable next season via his final trip through arbitration. If the Astros tender him a contract and the parties go to arbitration, his projected/guesstimated salary (at Roster Resource) for 2020 is $5.6 million. I don’t think the Astros will take the chance at getting stuck with a $5.6 million contract for a guy who may not throw a pitch next season. I do think the team will try to sign him to a cheaper deal.

Now that Bellinger’s versatility maybe played a role in his MVP, I think Bregman has a shot.

Im just wondering if or since the Braves seem to be trying to put all there eggs in the dame basket and they miss out on Rendon and Donaldson. Could we or shall I say the Astros sell high on Correa to play 3B for them?
A deal that involved Kyle Muller, Patrick Weigal, Kasey Kalich and Austin Riley would be a decent haul for Correa. Js.
Not aure if that would be an over pay but its pretty cost effective outaide of Riley.

It would almost be a full circle homecomming if he would come back to them and possibly retire. They would probably be open to the idea

Someone said it before, but I am going with Rick Porcello....He is a classic Luhnow signing...bounce back candidate and he has decent spin rate...
