Everyone wants MadBum, but I agree with Thomas .. Porcello is a Luhnowesque signing not unlike Miley, Morton & Fister

He is a very good "EXPENSIVE" player. Every good player is expensive.

He should change his name to Davis cause of all the miles on his arm. I wouldn't give him 5 years with Weinstein's money

So why are people so against a Castro reunion? Chirinos and him had very similar 2019 seasons by most accounts. (Chirinos was better, but not by a lot.) Castro: 101 OPS+ 13 HR 19% CS +2 Runs from Strikes Chirinos: 105 OPS+ 17 HR 21% CS -9 Runs from Strikes The Castro hate is amongst the silliest stuff I've read in cyberspace

I get that he didn't live up to all of the lofty expectations, but he has been a solid catcher.

He was just oblivious to the fact the Nats were waiting for him to push Greinke off the mound so they could swing at heat. He fell victim to the classic manager's mistake

A fall back option could be Nolan Arenando. Rickies listening to offers on him might be sheading alittle salary. Nolan would be a great add if we could throw a contract back. I would for sure offer Whitley in the deal for him When did this new team the "Rickies" start playing?

Roark and Lindblom off the table. Things are moving quickly this year. Yep.......as usual...others are trying to improve while Luhnow scratches his ass.

Like I said I'm convinced the clipboard gave him a handjob the morning of Game 7Bob Brenly is far from a Hall of Fame manager, but even he knew that when the chips are down, go to your horses. Randy Johnson won the last two games of the ‘01 WS. I got so tired of hearing Cole this and two days rest that. Those were the weak excuses of a losing manager. I hate to sound cutthroat, but if I know that my ace pitcher wasn’t coming back, I’m damn well pitching him in Game 7 regardless of rest or possible injury. When you play not to lose instead of playing to win, you generally lose.

When you play not to lose instead of playing to win, you generally lose. I don't know if I would've gone to Cole. We're talking about a lineup where Kurt Suzuki homered off Verlander
I would've gone to Urquidy if it was time to pull Greinke. Which it wasn't

That was another option, but Hinch goes on cruise control with his moves.

I thought the Angels needed pitching Rumor is 7/235. And no, I am not Nathangarza. Love to have him here, but that is some serious overpayment. Over $33.5M annually One super breakout year doesn't make him Mike Trout. 3 years ago this guy had 20 HR's 85 RBI's and batted .270
