Adding the rumors together a trend is emerging that ownership is reluctant to raise payroll. I'd be surprised if Harris or Chirinos is back This is surprising considering how much comes off the books the next two years. |

He always had good numbers, but he was dominating (until of course we need just one more win). |

Theres also some pictures comming out with a substance all over his glove and he could be subject to a suspension very soon.

"There were whispers of it when he was still an Astro..... that was the first I heard about it and the team was aware of the rumors. After he left the Astros it was joked about around the offices. Once he came forward with the cheating allegations it picked up more steam. I have never met or spoken to anyone directly that has said they "dated him". However it is an odd thing to come up and to last so long. I know he is really close to his father and was too his mother as well. He has a son but is extremely private. This is why its pretty strange." Part of the conversation so far. Cant post more dont wanna get my buddy in trouble |

I understand why Bortaz deleted it. However, I can't help hoping there ends up being validity to all of this and that Fiers gets nailed so we can see his half-assed career ended. I don't care if the Astros front office started it. Maybe they can find a couple of victims to come forward and speak out...assuming it's true of course........we certainly don't want to see anything come forward to smear the name of an upstanding individual like Mr. Fiers.

Honestly, I'm completely good to go with the team we currently have. Reasons:
1. We still have a very good team.
2. Unless it's a Springer extension, I don't want any more big lengthy contracts right now.
3. We can add during the season if it looks necessary.
4. We have some young players I'd like to see get a shot.
5. If there is a chance we're going to lose some resources from the investigation (money, draft picks, etc.), there is no reason to expend even more resources at the moment. It would be like buying a new car when your company is in the middle of downsizing.
6. We'll have a lot of payroll flexibility in two years to get creative and make additions.

Unless they make a trade, I see James and McCullers splitting up one of the rotation spots. Peacock will have one, and they’ll just figure out the last spot. Hopefully, it’s Whitley’s to earn. I can’t imagine them finding an infielder to mitigate the loss of trading Correa so I’m guessing he stays. It’ll possibly and maybe probably be a lackluster offseason. I’m hoping they extend Springer and possibly re-sign Harris, but I think the fans should prepare their goodbyes for the latter and enjoy a final summer of George before he puts on his North Face and heads to New England.
