^^^ I never gave up, as I was bashed all season long on my complaint about the offense disappearing for games at a time. Not just one player the whole team would just go into a major slump. I have always thought if the offense was on there was no team that would win a 5/7 game series against them.

I'll admit it, I had written them off after game 2. A lot of people did...but now is not that time either to think we have won the WS ..Cole needs to have his best game ever tonight; and in doing so, the Astros will re-sign him to a 7 year, $250M contract, with opt out periods starting year 4. Prepare the farewell card for Springer then.

I think it was you, me, JIT and maybe Sherwin that still had faith.....but I warn everyone, don't let the pendulum swing too far, don't get over confident....let's root hard for the Astros tonight. Scherzer is a 3 time CY winner.Let's hope that Cole comes back tonight, to show why he will the most sought after FA. Hmmmm.

I give Bregman credit for the humility he showed in his post-game interview last night. He seemed in awe that he's punishing the baseball again
First third baseman with 5 RBI in a World Series game .. wow

I think that's what everyone's hopin for A little humility without losing the confidence. It's a difficult coexistence. No it's not. Look at Altuve. On the extreme side, look at Carlton, Ted Williams, Musial, and Koufax. They all let their field accomplishments speak for themselves

“whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted." This was part of the readings in church yesterday. I thought of Altuve and Bregman.

I'll admit it, I had written them off after game 2. Oh ye of little faith. Yep, so did I. I originally picked the 'Stros in 5 games. We are way more talented than the Nationals but our guys lose focus and try to do too much at times. I think this was brought out in the players meeting. We have already hit Scherzer. If we keep our focus, we can end this in 6 games.

Though the momentum has changed, it could easily change back on the turn of a dime. I'm thinking this goes 7, and its going to be a dogfight to the end.

I'll admit it, I had written them off after game 2. Is this your first assignment as an escort? Haven't you learned the rules of probability and outcome?

Prepare the farewell card for Springer then. Nope...both are going to happen. We can do both but it will be tricky...We have one more year of control on Springer at $21.4 million. Cole is a must-sign now. I would start trying to extend Springer in the off-season with the big bucks in his deal not kicking in before Verlander or Greinke or off the books. Urquidy looiks like a quality starter who will be cheap for awhile. If Whitley is ready, we don't have to go after another starter if we can sign Cole. McCullers will also be ready. We can drop Devenski and Rondon from the pen and replace one of them with Abreu.

I’m getting ready to put on my Altuve jersey and whirl my rally rag. Gonna sit in the same chair I moved to before game 3.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I get the feeling that Cole really likes playing here and that Crane/Luhnow really like winning. If there is a guy that can make it happen, it's Jeff Luhnow. Fingers crossed because it hit me hard that we might have seen the last game Cole pitch for us.

I'm sure Cole likes playing here. He won 20 games for the first time ever and is on the final step of his first championship. But, it's been made pretty clear from other Astros players that he wants to go back home to California. It's not all about money and winning.
Get ready for a an OD 2020 rotation of:
Verlander Greinke Urquidy McCullers/Peacock FA/Prospect
