GO ASTROS!!! It may be. According to the media, if Scherzer somehow comes in and pitches today for a few inning then the Astros forfeit with the Nats automatically winning the series. |

Even with Strasburg starting I don't think the Astros fear the Nats bullpen at all.
Unless our pen has a meltdown like in game #2 I feel the Astros take it today 5-3

I love how the ENTIRE narrative today is about Scherzer?
"So what are the keys to the game today?"
"Scherzer is feeling good"
"Yeah but, how do the Nats win today?"
"Scherzer may start tomorrow"
"I don't think you understand the question"
"Can you imagine a Willis Reed moment with Scherzer coming out firing up the crowd?"
"Um, the game is played in Houston"
I am sick of hearing about Scherzer. He won't be involved in tonight's game. If there is a game 7.........and I don't expect one......he may not be able to go then, either. |

Strasburg pitching. Verlander 0-5 in the WS. Scherzer feels good. Blah, blah. None of that crap means anything. If Houston plays like the Astros tonight they'll end this. You are only as good as the day you play. If they can't manage to win one of the next two at home with a superior ball club then they don't deserve it. I think it ends tonight.

I keep seeing Verlander 0-5 in the World Series (although the Astros did win game #2 in 2017 for him in extra's, he just didn't get credit for it). My thing is, how is the World Series that much different for him than any other start?
He took out the Yankees in game #2 this year and I don't see the Nationals being that much better or the pressure that much more crazier today.
I think he's had some hard luck, and of course some of it can be due to fatigue late in the year. He's due to have a good game with a great start. Maybe a solo or two but I look for him to have 6-7 innings and no more than 2 runs scored against him.

This entire World Series has been swayed by the media towards the Nats.
Nats up 1-0: Wasn't about how the Astros would tie but how the Nats beat Houston on the road.
Nats up 2-0: They talk about how the Nats can finish off the Astros in DC and it won't come back to Houston
Nats up 2-1: Astros throwing a bullpen session for game #4 and Nats need to keep grinding
Series tied 2-2: Nats should win game #5 with Scherzer starting. Wait Scherzer isn't going well even a Nats loss menas Strasburgh and Scherzer for game #6 and #7
Astros up 3-2: Strasburg is the best pitcher ever in the post season and can't wait until Scherzer makes a miraculous comeback for game #7
