I'm just ready for this investigation to be over, receive our punishment so we can move on. It's just a shame how spotlighted this case is compared to other cheating scandals. At this point, we're spotlighting it more than the media. It's not even major news anymore. True from the major news standpoint, but tons of people are still discussing it on social media. Yes, social media is the death of society. However, it's bigger than major news these days.

I was watching some CBS show called Tiki and Tierney where that Tierney guy called this “the biggest scandal in American sports history”. (Eye roll.)

It'll get revisited some whenever MLB makes it's findings known and then it will mostly die. Most people don't even remember, care, or think about it the Patriots illegal camera thingy now.

One thing that put this cheating scandal out of the spotlight was the Myles Garrett incident in the NFL. I think I'm just dissapointed because I love the Astros. I want to root for this team like I always have for the right reasons. If all the rumors/scandals are true I'm all about being punished and moving on from there.

Stealing signs from second base is good baseball. I had a player who could pick up the opponent's steal, bunt, hit and run, suicide squeeze,.etc......he was seldom wrong. I called that smart baseball and was glad to have the kid. I also listened to him. Stealing signs from second base is like jaywalking. What the Astros did is like shoplifting. I watched a video on youtube this morning that claims this is the biggest scandal in the history of baseball. And there are still famous, well-connected talking heads saying that Astros players, coaches and management may face long suspensions (1 year or more) or lifetime bans.

Cheating is cheating. It doesn't matter if others are doing it too. I don't understand the argument that some forms of cheating are lesser than others. Shoplifting a candy bar in a 7-11 is a crime and so is murder. Both are crimes, but,one much worse than the other. Both are indicators of a reprobate mentality.

Non-supportive studies show that a large percentage of prisoners first crime was stealing little items from a convenient store.... although what was stolen not one would think....Not a Coke or Snickers bar, but Grape Welches and JuJu Beans, how random is that?

In some areas that produce criminals, they start shoplifting pork rinds, Ripple, or MD2020.

Supportive studies, especially non-supportive, can definitely be construed as racist propaganda orchestrated by the white man....But I have a brown friend, Sherwin, so I have immunity...I am going on with my ignant self...

I don’t care about lifetime bans, fines, or losing draft picks. Be easy on the players, and don’t strip away the championship.

Here's a difficult scenario:
Let's say that the rumors about Beltran being the primary leader of the scandal are true. Let's also say that the COB decides that this scandal is on par with the other "lifetime ban"-level scandals, so they decide to ban the leaders of the scandal for life. Beltran's path to the HOF just got derailed.

None of us should deny the joy that Beltran and the 2017 brought us.

If Beltran IS implicated as a leader of the cheating, though...wouldn't you think a lot of HOF voters will punish him with their ballot?

If two of the greatest players of our generation (Clemens and Bonds) are being withheld, then why shouldn’t Beltrán?

I’ve got to find out where they came up with this “buzzing bandages” story. That may be as bad as the email if it were proven to be a valid story.

None of us should deny the joy that Beltran and the 2017 brought us. And now it is tainted. I doubt that all that crap that supposedly went on did a thing to help that was not countered by causing a problem. If we are guilty I do not care if they fine us, I do not care if they suspend Luhnow and Hinch, and I do not care if they take draft picks. They better not take that title though. That to me ends it.
