None of us should deny the joy that Beltran and the 2017 brought us. And now it is tainted. I doubt that all that crap that supposedly went on did a thing to help that was not countered by causing a problem. If we are guilty I do not care if they fine us, I do not care if they suspend Luhnow and Hinch, and I do not care if they take draft picks. They better not take that title though. That to me ends it. I’m in full agreement with you.

I think Luhnow gets banned from MLB for one year and Hinch gets banned for two. That there was an edict handed down from the commissioner's office and the Astros defied it is like the SMU scandal 35 years ago

Luhnow seems less likely to be involved since he has much more to worry about in his capacity. I'd venture his complicity at 10-25% AJ OTOH, seeing and hearing the cans seems much more likely to be implicated.- His chances are at 50-90%. Also realize that in any wrongdoing investigation, managment often is held accountable for their subordinate's behavior. Luhnow could get a suspension just for that reason alone.

I think the reason alone would be Manfred warning all GMs after the Apple watch scandal that teams using technology to steal signs would be severely dealt with going forward Any sentence we get wouldn't be about the flagrance of our actions as much as the commissioner saying I told you guys not to do this anymore

If they didn't know about it, they should have and put a stop to it. They are going to be the ones punished, along with fines and draft pick losses. Maybe even some international slot money taken away.

To be honest, I didn't see a verdict and punishment coming so quickly. I'm thinking we must've fessed up to a lot of shit

I feel like it will be a fine, and maybe a draft pick or two. I can kinda see a ban being possible, but it will be to a no name scape goat. Probably some low level employee the Astros will pin it on. No way do I see Luhnow, Hinch, or any of the other bigger names taking any punishment for it. l agree
