He is also the guy who showed up wearing a Boras cap and declaring he was no longer an Astro in the clubhouse immediately after game 7 of the WS. We owe him nothing for his half-assed thank you. Why don't y'all get he put on the Boras cap as a message to Crane, not the fans of Houston
He was pissed because Crane never offered him an extension. That was dumb dumb dumbEither way, it was a bad look.

Ballplayers don't write letters like that if it were otherwise

It was basically an apology for acting so mad after the loss. I’d have been pissed too, but the Boras Corp. hat was a bit over the top.

Putting on the Boras cap because he wasn't used in relief would've been over the topI’d buy into that more to be honest. Any competitor would’ve been chomping at the bit to get into a game like that and not leave it in the hands of an Osuna-led relief corps.

I have to agree with Bear on this one. Although I still think it's good that we made a big offer.

Although, the three of us probably agree that Crane and Luhnow are frustratingly hesitant with locking up key players. Even Altuve took a while. Bregman was an exception.

Ballplayers always write letters like that. Every single time. That was for all the fans cheering him because they saw the writing on the wall. They knew he was leaving, he knew he was leaving, and the letter was the end of a chapter.

Just got a text from one of my boys saying the Yankees are considering signing Maldo to be Cole's personal catcher. With Sanchez catching him, and trying to handle his stuff, most likely would led the league in PB's.

Sounds like a fun watch to me.

Man the Yankees made a 360 on staying under the salary cap lid. They are desperate to win a ring, if Cole turns out to be a bust in NY of not handling the pressure and press like Randy, I think Tx Heat mentioned this, there is a lot of money to eat, I guess they didn't learn with Stanton.

Probably not for the flashers. lol

After 15 consecutive years over the threshold, the Yankees were below the threshold in 2018. That brought their tax rate as repeat offenders at 50%, down to 20% in 2019 and 30% in 2020. It will again increase to 50% if they're above the threshold in 2021, but it appears the current plan is to attempt to buy a WS in 2020, then sell off assets in 2021 if they grab the brass ring.

You are right about that, at this point their younger core, Judge and Torres, plus the younger ones on the pitching staff will demand a bundle, there is talk that Judge will not finish his career there.

You see TB signing a guy from Japan and bringing back Souza Jr. to try to compete. I am sure they will give them a run.
