not wanting an equitable investigation and subsequent justice for all 30 teams. If there are any credible accusations made against any of the other 30 teams, then of course those specific teams should be investigated. But expecting in-depth investigations of ALL teams, regardless of whether or not accusations have been made, doesn't make sense. Based on the outrage that many want cheating purged from this game once and for all?. I stand by that statement 100%, and clean house. Leave no stone unturned I say go all Kennesaw Mountain on this game, and leave no doubt to any of the 30 teams that it will be no longered tolerated, no matter how small an infraction. And I hate to break it you Justin. I'll bet all 30 teams are guilty, in some varying level of detail. Even in the past 20 years, your Tiger team isn't squeaky clean. And honestly, no team is clean In 2013 WS, your pitcher Jon Lester was caught with pine tar on his hand. The pitching coach and manager didn't have any idea? In 1999 Tiger Brian Moehler was caught on the mound with a piece of sandpaper scuffing the ball. I know that was quite a long time ago, but playes and team taking liberties with the rules. And to be honest, I'd venture less than .1% of deeds are ever caught across the board.

For some reason, you have wanted the Astros convicted from the beginning.....or at least it sounds like it. No, what I wanted was a team that doesn't fecking cheat. And a fanbase that will admit that the team DID cheat when all indicators are positive. Every team cheats to some degree. You want to stop this? Have Baseball clean up this game, with a zero tolerance policy, and bans for anyone found cheating.

On what do you base that observation? If we getting ultimately slammed, and being made an example, we will be the focal point of a multi-year set back. Why should others get to skate scot free?

The pitching coach and manager didn't have any idea? The Tigers didn't go to the WS in 2013 and Jon Lester never pitched for the Tigers. You're thinking of the Red Sox. Did their manager and pitching coach know Lester was using a foreign substance? In my opinion, it's more likely than not Lester kept that as secret as possible. YMMV. His catcher probably knew even if Lester never told him, though.

It’s just my opinion, but if Manfred has read 76,000 emails and conducted 60 interviews, he has the info necessary to make a decision. His letting this drag out is not good for the Astros.

Well, I heard the supreme authority on Astros baseball, Richard Justice, on mlb network this morning telling them he suspects Luhnow and Hinch to both be dealt with severely.
They are going to make an example out of the Astros no matter what any concrete evidence is found.......Manfred wants to look like a big man and he is being pushed by those who have been beaten out by the Astros over the last three years.....Fan bases in NY and LA were angry because the Astros beat the entitled Yankees and Dodgers.......Girardi was forced out of NY after the loss. Dave Roberts was shown to be inept as a playoff manager.....No manager has done so little so much as Rpberts. And,it is the fault of the upstart Astros who dared to take titles away from these media darlings........Yes, we will get hammered no matter what the evidence turns up and then the Yankees, Red Sox, and Dodgers can all claim the Astros "cheated "them out of a title they should have won.

Manfred is lying if he claims to have personally interviewed 60 witnesses and read that many emails......NO way has he read all of those emails......The Yankees and probably the Dodgers are pulling the strings and Manfred is the puppet doing the jumping.

Agree. In this scenario I guess big question will be will Crane throw his mangament team under the bus for expedience and / or leinency against the team otherwise.

I couldn’t care less if Hinch were punished. I care if it’s Luhnow, which would hurt a lot more. I think all the talk that “they don’t like us” is deflection from the cheating. They were caught somehow, and they will receive some sort of punishment. The Cardinals are media darlings too, and they were also punished. Let’s not play the victim card for the Astros. They knew what they were doing. If a teenager gets busted for weed, how far does the “well, other kids smoke too” line work with the parents?

Maybe Manfred can hire the old Cardinal hacker Correa. He should be getting out of prison soon.

He implied this morning that they should look at the two weakest teams over the past couple of seasons and give Alvarez to one of them and Tucker to the other. Of course, he was stupid enough to call Alvarez one of our top draft picks. I guess he doesn't realize the Dodgers traded him to us for Josh Fields.

If banning Hinch and Luhnow would put an end to this crap and not cost us much in draft picks or fines I'd vote for it in a heartbeat. Luhnow would be more difficult to replace but it can be done. We can easily find a manger who can read analytics off a damn clipboard and manage like a robot..........I am havng a hard time forgiving Hinch for game 7, Manfred will do what the Yankees tell him to do.

In any case, an assistant GM who is in contact with Luhnow could fill in during his suspension. As for Hinch, we would have had his replacement if we could have gotten Beltran to stay in the organization. I'd have to think about who I'd want to fill in for the year Hinch is suspended, if that comes into place.
