Four top draft picks taken away and year long suspensions for our two primary leaders in a season that we would normally have every reason to believe would be another one in contention. And a $5 million fine when we're already trying to save money. It was a deserved punishment based on what is supposedly to have occurred. I just hope they keep looking for this with other teams. We certainly couldn't been the first and only, outside of Boston. Clean it all up.

The only encouraging thing about any of it is that it sounds like they stopped doing it in 2018 on their own. So the results of the 2018 and 2019 seasons are just their performance. The players claim that it ended up being more of a distraction and not helpful. It also wasn't utilized on the road at all.
But it sounds like the players knew it was inappropriate regardless. Disappointing.

So, I guess we all agree that we cheated now. This sucks. I'll admit that knowing they're a bunch of cheaters dampens my enthusiasm as a fan of the team. I won't ever like them as much as I did before I found out that they're unscrupulous, unprincipled cheaters. It's only made worse because they all "first I want to thanks God" and do the 4 corners cross after every pitch, then go out there and cheat like a bunch of reprobates. |

Only three people of the main players had improved numbers at home. So not only did they cheat, it didn't even really help the team. Altuve especially if he was using the stolen signs. Massive split for him, Bregman, and McCann. Correa was the only one with drastically better numbers at home.

The Red Sox were already fined for sending electronic communications from their video replay room to an athletic trainer in the dugout during an August 2017 series against the Yankees Manfred received assurances afterward the Red Sox wouldn't participate in any future violations of this type
