I’d be more satisfied if Alex Cora gets a permanent ban.

Sad day, but not unexpected. Both Luhnow and Hinch deserve to get the axe (and I was a big Luhnow fan). I'm most disappointed in the players that used the system. If they didn't, they should have stood against it. I'm doubly disappointed that there are a lot of MLB fans who'll sanctimoniously cast stones as if their teams are squeaky clean (and perhaps some are). Losing Hinch and $5 million is no big deal; losing Luhnow and the draft picks hurts. My sentiments exactly. When I read the report about Hinch’s actions during all this I was not surprised at all. In spite of the fact that he didn’t approve of what was going on, he just let Cora and the players run amuck and do what they wanted to.

What will be interesting to watch this season is how the new Stros fan base which has picked up over the last couple of seasons reacts. On the visiting ballpark telecasts this was pointed out everywhere the Stros played

That’s the same AJ that left Cole in the bullpen in game 7 at MMP vs. the Nats.

The population of Houston is nearly 7,000,000. Why do you make sound like it's not a big market team? What makes a team big market is getting a big TV contract which is their cash cow. When do we get a new deal? Will the scandal effect their new deal?

Anybody think they have a chance at another job in MLB? I can't see it. I can totally see Luhnow hired the first GM opening there is post-suspension, with Hinch in tow as his manager. They'll be back

2020 is going to be a long year for the Astros playoff. They are going to catch hell at every ballpark they play in. Imagine Yankee stadium. Playing Texas on the road. I predict the Astros players will have to be pulled off the field at Yankee Stadium in AT LEAST one game due to all the objects being rained down on them from the fans. I just hope none of them gets hurt badly.

Will any Astro hitters admit they took part in cheating? I seriously doubt it, but it makes me wonder what hitters were involved.

I going to be nice to see how he handles it.

I’ve got quite a few Astro T-shirt’s my son bought me over the last 3 seasons. Not sure it’s safe to wear them anymore. Thanks Astros! Cheaters. I was thinking the same thing, It looks like I will put my Stros jacket on ice for awhile. Don't put it on ice. Wear it with pride, man!

He'll be more hands-on the next gig he gets

I can get enough grieve here with the Stros holding the edge in the last few playoffs with the Yankees, now this. As I tell them there big boys can know a breaking ball is coming and still can't hit it.

That is what surprises me on the whole situation, with him being the in charge person.

Luhnow does hurt.
Funny to think that Mike Crybaby Fiers is involved in two of Luhnow’s not so finest moments as a GM. The cheating scandal and trading for Fiers & Gump.

It’s hard for me to believe that Luhnow didn’t know a lot more about what was going on than he is admitting to. What keeps coming to mind is Goldstein’s email to some of the scouts enlisting their help in determining how a camera might be used to steal signs from an opposing team. In Goldstein’s email he told the scouts, “What WE are looking for is ....” Goldstein was one of Luhnow’s assistant GM’s, if I recall correctly. Hard for me to believe that Jeff wasn’t one of the “we.”

I'm not even mad at Fiers. He's a scumbag piece of shit, but he didn't make these losers cheat. They chose to cheat, and being angry at the whistleblower just doesn't hold water with me.

The players claim that it ended up being more of a distraction and not helpful. I figured this to be the case. The amount of time it takes to put up the signal, decipher the signal, relay the message to the batter, and the batter to process the message is so minute. I'm sure It worked here and there, but not enough to be effective.
