I'm not too worried about the Astros' situation. They did something wrong, they were punished and will continue to receive disdain and worse from the baseball world. Eventually everything done in the dark will come to light, this "scandal" will fade to the background and life will move on. Human frailty and failure comes in a lot of forms; I've learned not to cast stones. I will leave this topic with a parting shot: I intensely dislike media dishonesty and I hope the Astros kick everyone's ass all year.

Lot of stone throwing by mostly people just whining. There is always an easy solution to sign-stealing, regardless of how the information is being observed or broadcasted (opposing catchers that didn't catch on to it, should be ashamed). The Astros started with what most teams were already doing and went too far and got caught. The team was good enough to win anyways and there is no proof anything would have changed, which is why the championship can't be revoked. The Yankee and Dodger fans can whine all they want. It's not like they haven't had their fair share of cheating players. (And I would expect more to come out about other teams still.)
They deserved their punishment and they deserve some of the hate they're going to face on the road. But, I think they'll be better for it. Make them play harder. If they keep winning they'll be redeemed somewhat.
My only real complaint with their apologies or the press conference is that they could have, in general terms, explained themselves a little. Keuchel did a little in his apology when he said they felt like other teams had stuff going on as well.

Now, Alex Wood says that Jose STOLE the MVP from Aaron Judge. He and Bellinger said the Astros "stole the ring" from the Dodgers. I guess Bellinger is igoring all the K's he piled up because our pitchers made him look bad with breaking pitches. I have the entire WS on DVD and I'm going to find the time to re=watch it. I haven't watched it in about a year.

Losers always hate those that beat them. This cheating scandal just gives the Dodgers and Yankees an excuse for blowing it in 2017. What escuse do the Dodgers have for 2018 and 2019?:The Yankees claim that Altuve wore a buzzer when he honered off Chapman even though there is NO evidence to back it up. I admit that replays make it look suspicious but there is no proof. The Dodger hits struck out in record numbers against our pitching.....What did stealng signs have to do with that/ NOT A DAMN THING. Bellinger is whining the loudest and he stunk the worst. The Dodgers and Yankees are both teams of losers who want an excuse and they found one. Our trip to Yankee Stadium should be interesting..........I trust security will be increased to keep the idiots in New York from throwing things at our players, ' |
