Needs Tommy John Surgery as I suspected. He’s probably played his last game as an Astro.

Well, he had a nice run with us. Does this mean we recoup some money through insurance that could be used to re-sign some people or go after another pitcher?

Well...the Astros should trade Carlos and Greinke in the off-season....and go back to tanking for picks, build up the farm again.

I don't think they'll fully tank with the large commitments to Altuve and Bregman. I bet they try and retool for another run next year. A rotation with: Greinke Framber Javier Urquidy Garcia or whomever Wouldn't be bad. We just need bullpen help.

He’s trying to be positive even though we think he’s overly optimistic. I don’t see Crane letting us rebuild again because I don’t think he will trust Click or any other GM as much as Luhnow and his boys (Elias, Mejdal, Stearns, etc.). I can see Crane meddling more and getting Click to throw more money at less impressive players. It’s on Click to make the smart decisions.

I am not saying to fire Click, but, if they could get Luhnow and Hinch back that would be a great start in getting back to where we want to be. The mistake was not stopping Cora when that sign stealing crap started. It's over and done.........Luhnow and Hinch are serving suspensions......They will soon be eligible to return....Bring them back, especially Hinch because we know Dusty can't cut it. He is a loser.

You don't think Astros brass didn't know who was cheating the most, and if it was smart to offer such a big contract...You do realize Altuve absolutely raked on the road, right?

That’s the silver lining right there. If these were untalented cheaters incapable of coming through without aid, then why would the ringleaders pay them all this money?

And Bregman. And Greinke. And Verlander. It is beginning to look like Altuve and Bregman both used stealing signs to get top dollar, long-term contracts. Well so did Springer using your logic. He's making 20+ million this year himself. More than Bregman.

Using 2020 as a metric for comparing to past years with or without cheating is pointless. It's a crazy year. Bellinger won the MVP this year, and he's barely outhitting Altuve himself. Did he cheat last year and now he isn't?
Some random roleplayer 1B might win the MVP in the AL this year. Old Trevor "Batshit Crazy" Bauer might win the NL CY. The Marlins are probably going to the playoffs and the Brewers aren't. The White Sox and Padres might be the scariest teams in the postseason! 2020 is bonkers, man. Individual awards and performance this year mean hardly anything.
Some players are excelling in this weird environment and some are struggling. I don't think it means anything at all. Like I've said before, with the added adrenaline of the playoffs, I think we'll see a different team out there if they hold on to this 2nd spot.

The scandal and the coronavirus have made this season screwed up from the beginning. No normal spring training has led to a lot of these injuries we are seeing. No fans in the stands isn't normal There is nothing remotely normal about this season. I don't think we have much of a shot of beating the A's in the first round......a slight chance, but, not much. If it is a battle of bullpens, we are sunk. We MUST put runs on the board to have a chance. The A's missing Chapman should help us. The loss of Verlander was a big blow to overcome.

Yep, I'm playing favorites. I admit that Springer is my favorite Astros player and has taken a back seat to Altuve and Bregman even though he has shown to be more valuable to the lineup. I don't blame him for wanting to be paid what he is worth which is at least as much or more than Altuve and Bregman.
