I’ve given up on George. He’s rejected extensions since Jon Singleton signed the dotted line.

Seen another Interesting rumor. Nick Senzel could be looked at if they miss out on certain players. I.E. Brantley

I know most of us are being realistic (if not down right negative) about what we'll do this offseason...but, just for fun, what if we were completely wrong. What if Crane was like, "You know guys, let's take advantage of a down market this offseason and go splurge. Get another championship or two and then worry about re-tooling."
Sign Bauer on a 5-year deal to anchor the staff once ZG departs next season. Sign Yates to a 3-year deal. Bring in McCann on a 3-year deal to split time with Maldonado and then take over as the main catcher in 2022. Sign Bradley Jr., and Brantley to 2-year deals.
That all seems crazy to think about, but honestly it likely wouldn't take THAT much money. Plus, it would keep us in really good shape for another 2-3 years. (And I didn't include Springer because I think there is zero chance he comes back.)

Sign Bauer on a 5-year deal to anchor the staff once ZG departs next season. Bauer has said he won't do more than single-year contracts from now on. He said that before, but his agent and him have already contradicted it saying said that he is open to hearing all offers. "Again, I think it comes back to I just want a chance to win every year. I want to be in a situation where I feel valued and I have the chance to conduct my career the way I want to conduct it. So, pitch every fourth day, and stuff like that. I want to challenge myself and have a chance to do those things. So if there’s a situation where it presents itself where it is a four-year or five-year deal, and I feel confident that’s going to be a situation that’s good for me, I would consider it. I do think that in order to do the things that I want to do, I think I’m going to have to take on a little more risk than normal in those long-term contracts. …I’m not afraid of the one-year deals. I’m not afraid of the longer deals. It’s just going to be a case-by-case basis, and we’ll see what the situations look like."

It depends, Correa is going to get a very nice payday this year in his last arbitration year. I don't think adding on another $5-6 million over whatever he gets in 2021 is too much to add.

Peter Gammons
@pgammo
Astros folks keep saying Jackie Bradley, Jr. is a priority. Background info is all of the highest character. No doubt. And no one can play all the angles and oddities of Fenway's CF like JBJ. OF defense wins @ Fenway, he would be a major loss in rebuilding pitching process

The Astros buying the Skeeters is a sure sign that the relationship between Crane and the Ryan family has gone completely to shit.
