Time for our new GM to show he knows what he's doing........so far, I can't see that he's done a damn thing. If Crane isn't prepared to do what is necessry to try to keep Springer, he's a damn fool. I decided he was a damn fool when he dumped on the Ryan family and fired both Luhnow and Hinch instead of suspending them and hiring interims to take over during their suspensions. Time for Click to earn his pay. |

It's good to see that, reportedly, we're one of three teams in active serious talks with Springer (along with the Mets and Blue Jays). I still bet he ends up in NY, but at least we're trying.

If we are in serious talks with him, Crane will have to match what he is paying Altuve and Bregman or Springer won't sign and I would not blame him. He is worth as much or more than either of them. We also need to be going after more pitching. If we don't plan to pursue Brantley, we need another outfielder. |
