he is also headed to a .260 BA if he doesn't turn it around. Home runs are great, but, not the only thing necessary. He's looked better the last couple days.

Home runs are nice but so are multi-hit games, which was Altuve’s specialty until 2020. Man, hush. This motherf***er is headed to the god damn Hall of Fame. Jesus. But is he better than Biggio?

Home runs are nice but so are multi-hit games, which was Altuve’s specialty until 2020. Jose had two hits in each of the last two games. The fact that three of those hits happened to be homers is just icing on a very tasty cake. Go Altuve!

But is he better than Biggio? I would say so. I love Biggio and never thought I would have another "Mr. Astro" but I do. Altuve has proved time and time again why he is a MVP. Craig Biggio is one of the guys who made the Astros relevant. He was an All star at three positions. He is in the HOF. He remains Mr. Astro in the hearts and minds of long-time Astros fans. I can Altuve piling up as many or more hits than Biggio and being in the HOF and I'm pulling for him to do it. I also know Altuve played on a WS champion even though the title is tainted in the eyes of some people. Time will tell whether Jose deserves to pass up Biggio as Mr. Astro. \ No, Jose Altuve is not better than Craig Biggio. I realize I'm probably the only one who thinks so, but, that is fine with me. Biggio was a much better all around athlete.

Altuve is 1 RBI away from leading our team (or being tied) in HRs, RBI, Runs, and OPS+.

Corch wishes he could figure out when he has mentioned "negroes". I keep being accused of hating them for some reason. The fact that I don't think Dusty Baker is a good manager has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He wouldn't be a good manager under any conditions.

I guess I say that because it is not what we are used to getting from him. I don't count last year for any of them because it was screwed up from the beginning.

So with his huge game yesterday, Altuve is, for the first time this year, officially on pace for 100+ RBI out of the leadoff spot. Neither Biggio or Springer ever did that for us. (Although Springer would have in 2019 if he hadn't missed 40 games.)
39 HR 101 RBI 123 Runs

The reason I haven't been critical of Altuve is he hit .219/.286/.344 last year

His defense continues to be very good overall. He is on pace for arguably his best defensive season ever. That being said, his offense has trailed off a lot. Still a very good year overall, but he has dropped from consistently hovering around a .875 OPS to now hovering around .825.
It would be nice to see him either starting showing more power again, or go on a nice tear where he gets his AVG back up to the .285-.290 range. I think .300 this season is not doable.
