Hinch won a World Series because they cheated. Should've cheated enough to use Cole in Game 7.

Just hold your horses........everyone thinks little Jose didn't cheat and he IS the Houston Astros. So, our WS championship is totally legit.

Dusty hasn't had to make a tough decision in over a week. He's on autopilot with the way this team is performing.

I think Straw can be a Bourn-level player. And that would be awesome because Bourn had a 4-year run from 2009-2012 that was pretty underrated.

When Diaz comes back, do the Astros still have a need for a hitter? Players on the IL: Bregman, Diaz, Baez, Verlander and Paredes Bregman and Diaz are the two that should be back by this season. Who knows on the pitchers.. Dead Weight on the Team: Jones, Garcia, Garza, Bielak and Smith So any ideas of what Click should do?

Demote Jones when Bregman comes back. I'm not ready to completely give up on Jones. If Scrubb and Baez come back, release Smith and demote Bielak. If JV comes back demote Garza. Paredes needs to finish the year in the minors to work on his command. The only moves we should consider at the trade deadline are relievers with multiple years of club control. Earlier I thought we should go after a dominant starter rental (like Scherzer) but I've changed my mind on that. Solidify the bullpen by adding a guy that can shut an inning down like Pressly can. I don't see the need to give up prospects for any position players. We'll have flexibility to sign a free agent or two during the offseason if we want, there's no reason to trade away the farm.

With Diaz and Bregman back, we don't necessarily need another bat. Those you mentioned are dead weight at this time......I suggest designating Garcia and Smith for assignment. If Sugar Land needs an infielder, we could send them Garcia. Smith just has to go. Jones and Bielak need to go to Sugar Land.

I would not trade for a starter, but, would go after RELIABLE bullpen help under club control. There is a slight possibility that Verlander can return late in the season. Click needs to be concentrating on getting an arm for the pen and working on a contract that Correa will sign.

LOL I didn't know who you would come up with. Odorizzi is a good pick. Correa should be given consideration. Straw had a good game too. Yes, he did. Any game we win with Brantley, Tucker, Yordan, and Jose all out of the lineup is huge. Not having Maldonado hasn't helped. If Stubbs ever sticks in the big leagues, he needs to learn a new position. He is too little to cut it as a catcher. Like most catchers, his bat sucks.

Dusty had his best use of pitching to date. Plus, he won this game with like only 3 usual hitters + two bench players (Chas and Toro) + 4 misfits/castaways....The team had so many things going on (injuries, births, deaths) that Jason Castro was the DH.
Outside of Dusty major props go to Correa Straw All pitchers
FTR - Toro and Chas might be still on the team when Bregman and Diaz return.

Bunt, yes....But he has an awesome eye, he is so good at walks....And we all know 8+ pitches AB walks > hitting a HR on the first pitch. Any chance of Dusty doing this year Straw Brantley Altuve Alvarez Correa Bregman Yuli Tucker Maldonado If not, then if it's mainly status quo, I hope for Altuve Brantley Bregman (I really want Yuli here) Alvarez Correa Yuli (wish I could flip with Yuli until 2019 Bregman is back) Tucker Maldonado Straw
