The bright spots were Chas with a double and single and Castro and Yordan with home runs. For them to keep Robel on this roster if anything is available at Sugar Land is pure insanity. It would be hard for Greinke not to improve on his start in SF. |

Greinke is due for a very good start. He should have a lot of success tonight if he can just keep the ball in the park.

Hallelujah!! They have finally made a couple of moves. I'm sorry Yuli went to the IL, but, if he's not able to play, it's the best move. It's retroactive to 8/3 so maybe he can come back totally healthy. If sleeping wrong caused this problem, he needs to find a new position for sleeping. Now, the other good news.......Robel's worthless ass has been shipped to Sugar Land. I had rather him be released, but, at least this gets him off the active roster. We have called up Taylor Jones and Jacob Wilson. Jones is in the lineup at first base tonight with Diez back at third. Carlos hitting cleanup at SS.

Astros announced they have placed 1B Yuli Gurriel on 10-day IL (retro to Aug. 3)with neck stiffness and have optioned IF Robel García to Triple A Sugar Land..to take their spots on the active roster, the club has recalled IF Taylor Jones and IF Jacob Wilson (#13) from Sugar Land.

Can't they just give Yuli a muscle relaxant or something? I wonder about the doctors who examined him. I never heard of going on the IL from sleeping wrong. I had a pitcher one time who went to sleep in a recliner and woke up with a stiff neck. I had to scratch him from his start that night, but, he could play the next day. |

I could have worded that differently because people like you will always attach their own meaning to it. I didn't question the qualifications of the doctors....I wanted to know what they may have found after examining him. No, they are not required to provide details,but, it would help if we heard something other than "stiff neck" when a guy has to go to the IL. That is not a common occurrence. It may have been a cover story along the lines of the lie they told when Carlos' "masseuse" was responsible for his fractured rib. |

We might see more of this to let Brantley rest. |
