I believe you just exaggerated a little there, Breggie. Blank check for 30 years? 7 years/$210 million

It will take more than that. It could, but, I don't think he gets much more than that. He is worth more than any other position player on the team, but, he isn't worth Lindor money.

We are seeing tonight why we may have a short stay in the post-season.....Pile up runs in one game........suck ass in the next.

Like I said earlier this team will not go far in the Playoffs playing this style of baseball.

This is f’n embarrassing. Honestly, though, they’ve been playing like this for over a month.

Something is rotten in Denmark and I don't mean the Danish. How can they go from seeing the ball one night and next night look like little leaguers out there in the limelight

I think y'all are worrying too much. Half of them aren't even running out ground balls anymore because they don't care about winning every game. They're pacing themselves and making sure they stay in 1st. They aren't trying to go undefeated.
This is a team that knows they've conquered the regular season and are just staying warmed up for the postseason.

As long as they maintain a comfortable lead for the division, I have no issue with them taking it easy when they can. I don't want the 90's Braves. I don't care if they're the best regular season team. I want them to stay focused on the big picture, which is a 3rd pennant and 2nd title in a 5-year span.

What we are seeing here is a team who didn't come to play. They went out and hammered the Rangers last night and just gone through the motions like they don't give a shit. We had a chance at a leadoff walk in the 6th and Jose strikes out on a ball chin high inside. We hit ground balls and don't run them out. Guys who can't run out a ground ball shouldn't be on the field. This team is embarrassing themselves by handing a game to one of the two worst teams in baseball.
Greinke looks like shit but the offense looks worse.

No way they are going to catch the Rays and honestly, I don’t want them to. Let Tampa Bay deal with the wild card winner.

So, you don't have a problem with them just showing up and giving a half-assed effort? Do you think what is going on tonight indicates a team that is focused? What I see is a team who just wants to coast in and do just enough to get by. Then, they expect to turn it on in the post-season. No way in hell this team beats the Rays in a series.

So we want them going balls-to-the-wall over trying to desperately win every regular season game? Or do we want them coasting into the postseason while trying to get/stay as healthy as possible to be in the best position they can be to get another title? I know which one I'm choosing. We don't win anything being the #1 seed.

Do you really think they feel embarrassed? Lol. They're less than 20 games from starting their journey to what is hopefully their 5th straight trip to the ALCS or better. You think they're going to lose sleep because they lost a game to the Rangers? Lmao

They fell behind early and aren't busting their asses after Greinke threw BP for 5+ innings. I don't want Bregman pulling his hammy again trying to run out a ground ball. Or Yordan pulling a quad trying to outrun a DP. The fan base is who gets bent out of shape over a bad game. The players see the big picture.

They have played a lot of games lately where they showed no signs of having any pride and this is one of them. There is no excuse to ever not do your best. Every year about this time, you start singing the same old song..........don't worry about home field advantage. Just as long as you make the playoffs, it's OK. You can turn it on as soon as you get there. LOL When you start with this crap about just do enough to make it to the post season, I LMAO at your stupidity.
