Do you really think they feel embarrassed? Lol. They're less than 20 games from starting their journey to what is hopefully their 5th straight trip to the ALCS or better. You think they're going to lose sleep because they lost a game to the Rangers? Lmao No, I know they don't feel embarrassed. You have to have pride for that to occur. They have played a lot of games lately where they showed no signs of having any pride and this is one of them. There is no excuse to ever not do your best. Every year about this time, you start singing the same old song..........don't worry about home field advantage. Just as long as you make the playoffs, it's OK. You can turn it on as soon as you get there. LOL When you start with this crap about just do enough to make it to the post season, I LMAO at your stupidity. And I've been right every time this year. They've made it to the ALCS or better every time. You can b*tch and moan all you want like you do all the time. I'll enjoy watching them go deep in the playoffs.

So we want them going balls-to-the-wall over trying to desperately win every regular season game? Or do we want them coasting into the postseason while trying to get/stay as healthy as possible to be in the best position they can be to get another title? I know which one I'm choosing. We don't win anything being the #1 seed. You are one of my favorite posters on here, but this team isn't coasting anywhere. You should come to expect this by now. He sings this same song every year about this time

Did you see them joking around in the dugout last night? Do you see them with a 5.5 game lead worst case scenario? They're resting key players every day. It's the definition of coasting. If they blow their lead for the postseason I'll eat my words, but I really think people are upset over nothing.

They're not tanking. They fell behind early and aren't busting their asses after Greinke threw BP for 5+ innings. I don't want Bregman pulling his hammy again trying to run out a ground ball. Or Yordan pulling a quad trying to outrun a DP. The fan base is who gets bent out of shape over a bad game. The players see the big picture. And, of course, you are seeing the big picture, right. LMAO. I'm the one saying they're focused on the postseason. You're the one butthurt that they aren't running out ground balls when they're down by 8 runs.

I am also aware that they didn't win the 2019 WS when they should have because the offense didn't show up. I am also aware that we should have gone to the WS last year and didn't. No, I'm not satisfied just to get there. I believe in going for all of it. Anything less than a WS for a team with this much talent is an unsuccessful season. We could have a ten game lead by now if Dusty hadn't "rested" key players when they were hitting. Then, they come back from their "rest" and go 0-10 before starting to hit again. I have watched every post season game this team has played in its history. I certainly don't need you to tell me what happened in any of them. I wouldn't give you a pile of shit for a team that is "just happy to be there". If you don't go all the way, you go home losers.l If you do your best and lose, that's one thing. Losing because you look like shit is something else. We had a couple of games in the ALCS last year when we looked like shit and that is why we didn't go to the WS.

It would be nice to see the Astros finish with a better record than the ChiSox in order to gain home field advantage in the first round. No way they are going to catch the Rays and honestly, I don’t want them to. Let Tampa Bay deal with the wild card winner. I completely agree, although I don't think they care about homefield advantage, honestly. I would bet that the ChiSox care. After tonight’s thrashing the ‘stros will still be 6 games over .500 on the road at 39-33. The White Sox are a couple games below .500 on the road, but 23 games over .500 at home.

That way the whole country can be reminded that we have a clown managing the team.

The only thing frustrating about that game was Greinke not appearing ready for the postseason. Since he has to rely on perfectly locating his pitches to be effective, we shouldn't be all that surprised that he put some in the middle of the zone that got hammered. The three home runs he allowed were all on BP pitches right in the middle of the plate. His last two starts have been in Arlington, and, he sucked in both of them.

So they should not be paid 100% of their contract. So we want them going balls-to-the-wall over trying to desperately win every regular season game? Or do we want them coasting into the postseason while trying to get/stay as healthy as possible to be in the best position they can be to get another title? I know which one I'm choosing. I don't see any of the other Playoff Bound teams coasting. They are trying to win every game they play. Stay Focus and continue to win games. Not maybe we will show up tonight as in Playoffs we know how to win. Didn't they go through that idea a couple years ago and it cost them.

I'm not saying they shouldn't play hard. I'm just saying that there is no reason why they can't pump the brakes some as the season progresses and their lead is strong in order to try and rest and prevent further injuries.
This is a team that shouldn't be satisfied with just making the postseason. They should expect to go deep in the playoffs. And if they get to the postseason hurt and exhausted, they won't go deep.
We've seen what they can do when they get to the postseason regardless of how good they did in the regular season.

We want them to play hard in EVERY GAME. I know I do. That's not to say I want to see Bregman running down the first base line like his hair is on fire when a grounder is hit sharply to an infielder. Or see Brantley crashing into walls trying to make impossible catches. But I do want to see them grinding out every plate appearance against tough pitchers. And see them keeping their heads in the game, even when behind by a considerable margin. Whether the first AB of the game or the last, they all matter, regardless if the game is won or lost. Having respect for the game and playing it the right way, builds character and strengthens the team. That's the mindset needed to prepare a team go deep into the postseason. Be in the moment, every moment of every game.
After the win, savor the feeling but only for a short time. After the loss, learn what you can from it, then move on. Win or lose, what you just did is now relegated to the past. Prepare yourself for tomorrow and be ready when tomorrow becomes today.
And that's all I have to say about that ...
