Does Maldonado get the day off today or does Dusty wait until Saturday so he can start Castro against a lefty?
If Brantley is not back today, I think we see Alvarez in LF again with Tucker DHing, Chas in CF and Siri in RF.

If Brantley is not back today, I think we see Alvarez in LF again with Tucker DHing, Chas in CF and Siri in RF. I think you are right about Marwin playing SS tonight and giving Carlos the night off. I doubt if they rush Brantley back, and, this weekend in Oakland makes sense as a time to return. For some reason, I expect Castro to get the start tonight even though a right-hander is pitching. LOL I had rather him sit Siri and play Meyers and Chas both in the OF. |

If Brantley is not back today, I think we see Alvarez in LF again with Tucker DHing, Chas in CF and Siri in RF. While Brantley is out, I reckon Dusty will start Yordan in LF a lot before the playoffs. Unlikely to see Yordan in the outfield during the playoffs until the WS in a NL park. So getting him some work now makes sense. But Yordan started the past two games so I think he's the DH tonight. Then back to LF tomorrow. Just guessing ... |

I’m hoping we see Meyers in the lineup every day. We need to get that bat hot again. In defense of Meyers..., I don’t know that I have ever seen so many really bad pitches called strikes on one guy game after game. That and being benched when he is hitting well probably messed with the kid’s mind.

I want him in CF because I think he is the best defender at the position. Dusty doesn't seem to care who is hitting and who isn't when he decides who to bench. The way Dusty has used him as probably contributed to his bat cooling off. If given the chance on a regular basis, I think he will be better than Chas. I like both of them better than Siri. |
