Ok, serious question. Is the NL pitching this good or has both teams' offense taken a dive.

You are also a stalker. You stalk me all over the board posting your bullshit. It's hilarious because everybody here sees right through you. LMAO This is an exact definition of you: "Trolls are people who leave intentionally provocative or offensive messages on the internet in order to get attention, cause trouble or upset someone." What is so hilarious is it doesn't upset me at all. I get a good laugh each time you do it. You're right, he's definitely being provocative. He not only said lol, he did it with all-caps and if that wasn't enough, he used an exclamation mark.

I loved the ending. Great to see the Dodgers get walked off two games in a row. LOL

For the sake of his future in MLB and the Astros 2021 post-season chances, I am hoping that Luis Garcia will be placed on the IL and removed from the ALCS roster. The kid has pitched his heart out for this team, but he is running on fumes now. The most pitches he had ever thrown in a season prior to 2021 was 1,823 in 2019. He threw only 203 pitches in 2020. He threw 2,502 pitches in the 2021 regular season. That is a dramatic increase in workload for a young pitcher. As long as he is on the roster Dusty is going to keep running him out there. Hopefully Click will take charge and remove García from the roster for the remainder of the playoffs so that Dusty can’t use him anymore. For the life of me I still don’t understand why Dusty started Garcia in game #2 rather than Urquidy. OP... I think you may have a better underdstanding overall mindset of the young athlete than most of us. I think Dizzy Dean is maybe the best historical example of what can happen to a pitcher who tries to play through the pain. In context, in the modern era when there are 4/5 way discussions around this that center on management, player (agent), doctor, and trainer. How smart, and / or how much pressure is extole to young players who have to weigh and balance of medical issues and potential to lose millions of dollars....or coming across as a wimp, and not being up for the big game. Both decisons obviously have serious implications. I know we are not privy to these personal discussions, but wonder on a proportional basis which side wins. Strange you should mention Dean. My mother used to date him. He and his brother used to come to Lufkin in the off-season, usually as guests of Murphy Martin. Every time I see his name I remember my mom telling me that the Dean boys used to love to squirrel hunt with only a pocket full of rocks.

I'll never forget watching KTRE when Murphy Martin was giving the news back in the 50's when I was just a kid. My dad bought our first TV, a black and white Philco and we watched Murphy Martin every night at six. Then, we were forced to watch Hank and Juanita Huggins twice a week on their Double H Ranch show. I can remember ole' Diz on national baseball play by play. What a colorful interesting character, with a wit as sharp as a tack. National Treasure

God, it would be awesome if the Braves beat them. Outside the flubs, they (Dodgers) have the whiniest fan base in MLB. Seeing them flaming out will be a nice touch this year.

I've been happily way wrong about that Dodgers-Braves series. I figured it would be an easy win for the Dodgers.

If the Dodgers fail to get by the Braves, it has to be looked at as a colossal failure by them. Roberts is already getting questioned by their media.

I was just looking at the stats for the pitchers the Astros have on the ALCS roster. There is not really a potential starting pitcher outside of Valdez who generates a majority of ground ball outs. Not the ideal situation vs the Red Sox at Fenway.

Not the ideal situation vs the Red Sox at Fenway. I've been thinking the same thing. Lance could get ground ball outs, but, we don't have him. Had he not been injured, he would have the start tonight. But, that doesn't matter now. What it boils down to is our best shot is to outslug the Red Sox and win at least one of these three games so we can get the series back to MMP. What do you think of giving Javier the start in game 4 instead of Greinke?

I don’t think he’s that great of a manager. I have never thought Roberts was much of a manager. He proved that by starting Darvish against us in game 7 of the 2017 series after we had hammered him in his previous start. The Dodgers won't win if they depend on Roberts outmanaging Snitker and we won't win if Dusty has to outmanage Cora.

As long as Javier doesn’t walk a lot of batters he is effectively wild. Batters can’t just lock in on a area and attack, knowing that they will get a mistake pitch in that area. The same cannot be said for Greinke. If he is not able to locate his pitches perfectly, it gets ugly fast.

It was already a shock when Washington eliminated them in 2019, but the Nats eventually won it all and had elite SP all healthy at the time, so they get more of a pass on that. But there's no excuse to be getting rolled by Atlanta (granted the Braves are better than the 88-73 record would indicate).

I think it was as classy of Cora as it was unclassy of Correa. I won’t miss that bullshit when Correa is gone. Yeah the ego has certainly grown as he has aged. I understand he has evolved into a leader on this team, but I'm not entirely sure if that's a good thing (outside of sticking up for Altuve and his non-involvement with the sign-stealing). One full season in half a decade and suddenly he thinks he's Godzilla.
