Framber should be better today. A SP ERA of over 17 cannot hold; the Astros are due some massive, and I mean massive, regression toward the mean- and the same thing can be said for the Red Sox hitters. For a couple of games they didn't miss anything and that is as unsustainable as it gets. It would not surprise me if we take this series in 6. Of course, the baseball gods are fickle, so... Listen to Tal. Tal is wise.

I’m an old man who has been a fan of the Colt45s/Astros since the team started play in 1962. I went over 40 years waiting for the team to make it to the World Series for the first time. Now the Astros will be playing in the WS for the third time in five years. Understand this. These are very, very special times. Don’t take them for granted. Enjoy them while they last.

Nailed it OP... I only go back to 1965, but when you are a kid, and are a fan of a team that was synonymous with losing? 1965-1979 by itself seemed like an eternity. 1980-2004 was a roller coaster of teasers, high expectations, and crashing disappointments. I hate to using the word... "choke", but when it counted our Killer B's were basically bashful when it counted. Sadly 2005 corresponded with a month long post Rita power outage for us, so we pretty much kept up with. a battery operated radio. Yeah we got sweeped, which was why the ALDS win against the White Sux was so sweet 2006-2014 were a sad tme where we watched in real time as the team imploded. One of my troll busting responses to the state of success of our franchise was the fact I used to boast that ours was the only team that had never lost a 100 games a year. That sure backfired 2011-2013. I will be honest. During those 3 years I had wondered if we had become the Detroit Lions of MLB. But now since 2014...... We have seen success and a 7 year run very few other franchises have ever witnessed. When you endure for 55-60 years like we have. You do understand how special it is, and do know that Baseball Nirvana is fleeting, and at some point in time the cycle has to restart.

I've been a fan for the same amount of time. I remember getting home from school in April of 1962 to turn on the radio to hear that Bobby Shantz and the Colt. 45s had beaten the Cubs 6-2 and Roman Mejias hit two home runs. I remember Gene and Lowell doing radio because we got none of their games on TV. When the team did something good, Lowell Passe would say "Hot dog and good ole sassafras tea" LOL I had about given up on seeing us get to the WS until we got there and got swept by the White Sox. Then, along came 2017 when we finally won it. Two more since then so it's probably a safe bet that we won't see a better five years than these any time soon.

The strangest thing was probably when the Reds no-hit us one day and Don Wilson no-hit them the next day.

I’ve been a fan since I was a young lad circa 1492. I accompanied Columbus to the New World and discovered Astros baseball and was hooked ever since.

I just wish my mom had been alive to see them win it all in 2017. She was the biggest Astros fan around.

Who all is going to the Series? It would be great to go, but even with the money you most likely would end up in nose bleed seats without connections.
