I was offered seats in the OF upper mezzanine for Game 4 in 2017 for $2K That only happens if the Dodgers win. If Braves win the NLCS Game 4 will be in Atlanta. The home games were the middle set that year. You're probly lookin at a comparable price range regardless which games are at MMP

It would be great to go, but even with the money you most likely would end up in nose bleed seats without connections. I was offered seats in the OF upper mezzanine for Game 4 in 2017 for $2KThat’s $2K to watch Giles shit the bed.

I hope Strom has an answer for Rosario. That guy is on fire. He has been a streaky hitter most of his career. Hopefully he is on fire this week, cold as ice next week!

I hope Bagwell and Biggio don't have flashbacks if they attend the Series. The Braves owned them.

I hope Strom has an answer for Rosario. That guy is on fire. The answer may be to pitch around him. We managed to cool Kike down a little so maybe we can do the same with Rosario. I loved seeing those sick looks on the Dodgers' faces. LMAO.

On the one hand, LOL Dodgers.
On the other hand, this feels really 2019-ish; Astros going to the series to face a scrappy, red-hog underdog from the NL East that eliminated the heavily-favored Dodgers. The difference being, well, we were a better team in 2019 and have a lot more injuries and holes right now than we did then.

Astros bats were cold for most of the playoffs in '19. They struggled to score runs against Tampa in the LCS. Washington wasn't as good as Houston but won anyway. When Houston's bats show up, it doesn't matter who is pitching.

Here is the roster for the 2017 World Series champion Astros:
C Juan Centeno Evan Gattis Brian McCann
INF Jose Altuve Alex Bregman Carlos Correa Marwin Gonzalez Yuli Gurriel
OF Carlos Beltran Derek Fisher Cameron Maybin Josh Reddick George Springer
LHP Dallas Keuchel Francisco Liriano
RHP Chris Devenski Ken Giles Luke Gregerson Will Harris Lance McCullers, Jr. Collin McHugh Charlie Morton Joe Musgrove Brad Peacock Justin Verlander
I think that overall the 2021 team is at least the equal of the 2017 team. The 2017 team was better in CF and starting pitchers, but had no bullpen and employed Maybin, Marwin and Reddick to cover LF and CF. The 2021 team is much better in LF and RF with Brantley and Tucker. The 2021 is much stronger at DH with Alvarez. The 2021 team is weaker at SP, but much stronger in the bullpen. I like the Astros chances to bring home another championship this year.

Overall, I think this team is a tad stronger, and our opponent (at least on paper) weaker. I still worry about the fact sometimes hunger outweighs complacency and normalcy. All this young Braves team has to do is catch some breaks, and their confidence will soar. If ATL wins one of the first two, I think we need to have some concern. And Charlie(f'n)Morton? That gamer would just love to tag us with an "L". I'll never bet against him.

Later, after we were dumb enough to let him walk, he signed with the Rays, and, beat us in game 7 of the ALCS last season. Now, he is with the Braves and pitching game one against us. We should have kept him. I think we have a better shot at beating him this season than we did last. Bregman and Yuli were both no-shows in the ALCS last year. We also had no Yordan Alvarez in the lineup. I think we beat the Braves in six.

Now, that it seems certain that McCullers won't be on the WS roster, who do they name to replace him? If Meyers is ruled out, who replaces him? I'd like to see them take Solomon and maybe a third catcher.

I'd much rather have an extra pitcher, especially considering how in-flux the rotation is right now. Peter Solomon would be an obvious choice. Scrubb, James, Paredes as well. Maybe Bielak.

I remembered a few minutes ago that he wasn't, but, it had slipped my mind. Thank you pointing out the mistake. I wouldn't be surprised if they add a pitcher or another catcher to replace Meyers. Of course, it could be Marwin.

If I understand the rules correctly, the rule that limited the number of pitchers on the roster to 13 was eliminated for the 2021 season. If that is the case... and if Meyers is incapable of playing in the WS due to his injury..., I would carry 14 pitchers and 12 position players on the WS roster. With McCullers out the team could use the extra arm.
With McCullers and Meyers out this would be my WS roster:
Castro Maldonado Gurriel Altuve Correa Bregman Diaz Alvarez Brantley McCormick Tucker Siri
Valdez Taylor Raley Luis Garcia Urquidy Greinke Odorizzi Javier Maton Stanek Graveman Pressley Solomon Scrubb

I vote for Solomon and Scrubb. I completely forgot about Scrubb. I assumed he was hurt. Scrubb was sent to AAA Sugarland for a rehab assignment on 9/3. He pitched 7.1 innings in 8 games, allowed 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 10 in those 7.1 innings. He did; however, walk 8 batters. I would still trust him more than Yimi in the World Series.
