News just dropped. No Jeremy Pena is a surprise, especially since he missed a lot of time.

Lee was 1-for-4 with a walk at the plate too, BTW.
0-for-5 with 3 K for Pedro Leon (playing CF) unfortunately.

Six bombs for the Desert Dogs tonight LOL. That dry Arizona air.
Kessinger was the only Astros prospect in this game, playing third base. 3-for-5, 2 singles and a bomb, 2 RBI, 3 runs scored.

The report could have been skipped. Leon isn't close to being ready to even try to replace Correa. You shouldn’t replace a guy like Correa with hope. You replace him with proven results. León hasn’t even faced the intricacies of major league scouting and advanced pinpoint accurate pitching yet. It’s a lot to knight him as the heir apparent to our superstar shortstop. Even defensively, look at how much a slower Bregman and sometimes iffy Altuve rely on Carlos. You can’t just fix all that with some random hotshot prospect.

The lack of power in a very hitter-friendly environment out in Arizona is definitely an eyebrow-raiser, but it's also a small sample against good competition. I do think we see Lee in the Majors at some point next year.

I do think we see Lee in the Majors at some point next year. PLEASE I'm a little concerned at how the transition will go. You need to bring a catcher up and let him get his legs under him and get used to working with the pitchers, and vice versa, so you don't just want to let Maldonado go at the end of next year and bring Lee right in to Spring Training with none of that groundwork laid. So he really needs to come up next year. But once he's up, he needs to play at least 3-4 times a week because you're trying to develop the bat as well, so then you take half the games from Maldonado and who knows how the pitchers react to it, both on and off the field. Dusty is going to need to handle all that.
