Man, so Bear and I are the only ones happy with LMJ pitching Game 4? Y’all act like someone told you Raley was starting. That was my first view of Raley pitching last night. When Bortaz mentioned the pen sucked, I am guessing this guy is resident Master of Disaster. How many clowns do we have like this in the pen?

McCullers 2021 Home/Away Splits...
Home or Away -- Game-Level
Split W L W-L% ERA G GS IP H R ER HR BB SO BF WHIP Home 6 3 .667 3.51 16 16 92.1 70 38 36 9 40 96 385 1.191 Away 7 2 .778 2.70 12 12 70.0 52 21 21 4 36 89 299 1.257
On paper, it doesn't seem like a bad move, but like they say....it's not played on paper.

I think the rainout helped Dusty in spite of him being a blockhead. He gets to go with his best starter on routine rest, his bullpen gets a day off and the opponent's momentum is halted ***** This right here. I’m more than comfortable having Lance start Game 2 and Framber in Game 1 of the ALCS (if things work out). if he started game 2, it would be on three days rest. I don't like that idea.

Count me as one of those against using McCullers tomorrow. Historically he's been better at home, and Rodon has OWNED us big time. Like as much as any pitcher on the planet. Maybe Lance goes 6-7 innings and gives up just a run or two, but if Rodon shuts us out, it won't matter, and you've wasted the start of your best guy. I dunno, it's a risk IMO. It's a massave roll of the dice IMO. If we lose with our ace tomorrow, I am afraid the emotional letdown going back to Houston is going to be really tough. That is why you try to avoid sending your ace against their ace on the road unless it's an elimination game. Rodon is coming off shoulder problems but could still be hard on us. He always has.

Most of them are capable of being the clown in a given situation. Raley had some good games to end the season, but, had been terrible at other times. He and Javier are two guys that should never be brought in with runners on base. Maton runs hot and cold. Yimi Garcia has mostly sucked which is why I don't understand bringing him in when he had Greinke availabe.

The Red Sox just walked off the Rays 6-5 to win their series. Show of hands who saw this coming. I sure didn't I didn't. I don't like the Red Sox but I wanted them to win so we'd have home field advantage in the ALCS. Cash was outmanaged tonight by Cora.

I think it's a bad move and could end up costing us the series. It makes more sense to keep him available for a game 5 in Houston if it comes to that.

On another note........the Giants beat the Dodgers 1-0 to take a 2-1 lead in the NL division series. I will laugh when the damn Dodgers get eliminated after thinking they had it wrapped up when they got Scherzer, who gave up a home run to Evan Longoria and ended up losing the game. LMAO.

On an 0-2 pitch, just like Marwin had against Jansen.

Case in point: Scherzer just went 7.0 innings, 1 run, 10 K...and took the loss, because the Giants shut out the Dodgers offense. If the Astros can't get to Rodon and end up losing tomorrow, we go from a 2-0 series lead to a coin-flip-at-best scenario thanks in no small part to the umpire and Dusty's management.

I said when this started we'd be in good shape if Dusty didn't get us beat with his bonehead pitching moves. I have a bad feeling about this one.

I think it's riskier giving your ace 5 days off instead 4 when he's at the top of his game. Better to keep him in the routine

y'all (save union, saint & thomas) are managing Game 4 like it's already a loss. We went from Urquidy v Rodon to McCullers v Rodon. That's an advantage CHW to an advantage push

Raley’s overall strand rate is not bad. His strand rate when it is late and close is damn near perfect. He let’s every inherited runner score. Yimi is worse.

Needing to go to either of them is a precarious situation at the very least. Dusty is like the guy who flashes a big roll of bills at a party and wakes up with empty pockets in the parking lot. He just does not have a clue

I can see both sides to this. Sure save Lance for game 5 at home, if needed or if he isn’t needed he can pitch game 1 of the ALCS.
However we need to finish this today and he is our ace. I am fine with it.
I am aware of what Rodon has done against us this year. However he has not pitched in 12 days and we are not even sure if he is 100%. I think the bats will get the best of him today.

We are still in this thing. We lost 1 game out of 3. Our Ace (might not be much of an Ace) is pitching game 4. Not that big of a deal to me. Maybe the board will be better off without me. I feel Dusty is too easy of a target to most for whatever reason. I hope he retires with a World Serious Championship. STFU with that mess. ^this
