Maybe there is a possible silk lining with starting McCullers today. We will get a chance to see what we got in Valdez to help determine what kind of extension to offer him after the season.

if he started game 2, it would be on three days rest. I don't like that idea. Game 2 was Friday. Framber would be on routine restgame one is Friday with game two on Saturday. Starting McCullers today takes him out until game three in Boston. Urquidy should start today.

Needing to go to either of them is a precarious situation at the very least. Dusty is like the guy who flashes a big roll of bills at a party and wakes up with empty pockets in the parking lot. He just does not have a clue He has managed to NEVER have his team reach the WS, and, moves like starting McCullers today is one reason why. He is clueless. If Rodon is back to pitching like he was before the shoulder problem, we are in trouble because we never touch him and Dusty has blown McCullers for tomorrow plus game one or two of the ALCS if we get there.

Man, so Bear and I are the only ones happy with LMJ pitching Game 4? Y’all act like someone told you Raley was starting. I can only speak for myself. I think it's a bad move and could end up costing us the series. It makes more sense to keep him available for a game 5 in Houston if it comes to that. If McMullet isn't capable of pitching on the road in a clinching game, then quit calling him our ace.

If McMullet isn't capable of pitching on the road in a clinching game, then quit calling him our ace. Stats show he is more than capable of winning on the road. Stats also show that we never hit Rodon. Pitching your ace against their ace on the road in a non-elimination game is asking for trouble.

Sure, Rodon has owned us, but there are some things in our favor: 1. Rodon has not been healthy and won't be stretched out for a long game. 2. We're due for a good game against him.

Case in point: Scherzer just went 7.0 innings, 1 run, 10 K...and took the loss, because the Giants shut out the Dodgers offense. If the Astros can't get to Rodon and end up losing tomorrow, we go from a 2-0 series lead to a coin-flip-at-best scenario thanks in no small part to the umpire and Dusty's management. I would hardly say Urquidy or Framber and our offense at home against Lynn again, is a "coin-flip-at-best". That sounds very much in our favor if it happens.

I want a ground ball pitcher pitching at Fenway.

Let's focus on winning this serious first, before talking about the next one. You can't win the World Serious without winning ALCS first. You can't win the ALCS without winning the ALDS first.
So let's all quit bitching, it's time to get SERIES!!!

Any reason Crusty keeps Tucker in the bottom 3? I'd think I'd be wanting to get our hottest bat as many AB's as possible.

I agree. I'm not posting anything until the game is over. I made the mistake of gloating before we had it in the bag.
