As bad as the last two games have been, a win today and it becomes a 3-game series with two at home. At some point the law of averages would seemingly need to kick in with Boston not scoring a ridiculous amount of runs. Maybe Greinke is due for a magical postseason game to get us back on track.
We've been down before and made good runs, and there is no reason they can't do it now. The top of the order has cooled off, but several of our players are due for a bounce back game and they're still a high-powered lineup.
(I'm trying to get myself to be positive.)
What they really need is a big first inning to take some pressure off and get their mojo back.

P.S. We're still very fortunate to be watching postseason baseball again, and we have plenty of hope for next year too.
Even if we lose Correa we still have a young core of good players to pair with Altuve, Brantley, and Gurriel. Our starting rotation IS (this series aside) a good young rotation. Plus, we have a ton of money coming off the books, and we get all of our draft picks again as well as maybe a supplemental or two depending on what happens with JV and CC.

SS Tucker, RF Gurriel, 1B Meyers, CF Castro, C Greinke, P Red Sox: Schwarber, 1B Hernandez, CF Devers, 3B Bogaerts, SS Verdugo, LF Martinez, DH Renfroe, RF Vazquez, C Arroyo, 2B Pivetta, P Spot on for our lineup except Dusty did what we should have expected and kept the automatic out, Maldonado, in the nine spot. Meyers in the lineup is a good move if he's healthy. |

Considering Boston has one of the weakest running games in MLB, doesn't make much sense to put a .050 catcher in the lineup.

Fingers crossed for a win. Unfortunately I won’t be able to watch due to an engagement I agreed to attend months ago.
Good news is I missed game one for my brother’s wedding and we won. I watched game 2 & 3 in which we got slaughtered.
