The difference is that Correa is the one begging for the biggest contract in franchise history and is showboating on the field. If you're going to do all that, you need to back it up. If he didn't want a big contract, you'd be fine with whatever he did. I'm glad we know that tapping your wrist is showboating but the crap Bregman did for the TV camera showed class and character. LMAO And, Breggie did it in style with peroxide on his hair. Correa has outperformed both Bregman and Altuve in the post season so I'd say he has backed it up. His home run gave us the lead in the late innings of game one. His double started the seven run ninth in game 4. I'd say that backed it up. I have yet to see him dragging his ass running out ground balls. |

Is the guy who is 3-20 in the ALCS with two errors, one of which opened up a six run inning in game 3. OR is it the guy who is 3-19 and never runs hard to first base while killing innings lunging at balls and hitting into DP's? Fact is the pnly reason so manuy are bitching about Correa is because he wants a long-term contract and wants to be paid at least what the two icons are making when his value is higher than either one of them. |

Instead of all us arguing over who is being paid too much or wants too much, maybe it would be better if we could support all of them. I'm going to defend Correa as long as people keep bashing him while their favorites either suck at the plate, in the field, or both. None of them are perfect. But, there is no doubt here that Correa is catching all of this heat because he wants a long term deal that pays as much or more than our other two core players. Speaking of core players, it's time to add Yuli and Tucker to that group.
