How much public begging for big contracts did the "two icons" do again? I haven't heard any "begging". I suppose because he refused to accept a half-assed offer well below his market value that he is "begging". LMAO. And, Correa is worth more to this team in all areas than either of the icons that most of you thinks drop odorless turds. Come on be real right now. You have nothing against what he's doing when he's talking about his INDIVIDUAL stats while his TEAM is still playing?

It may be a little over the line and I agree he shouldn't do it. He knows he will be the top FA on the market and doesn't need to pat himself on the back. He also knows that it is important for the Astros to bring him back. Crane is under a lot of pressure to get him signed. and, may have to revise his policy on long term deals. We are in for an interesting off season.

Yes, I have a problem with that, especially since he flatly stated that he didn't want any talk of a new contract until after the season. He needs to stop that crap. Even if most of what he says is true, this isn't the time for it.

Why is he vocally auditioning for his next contract, when he should be focused on helping his current team win a WS?....Not doing some stupid point at my wrist gimmick, asking what time it is.... Probably something he rehearsed hours on end with the Daniella....Look Carlos, if you want to be a DB, do that next year, for your next team.

Even if most of what he says is true, this isn't the time for it. So then certainly he deserves a little harsher accountability right? No. Why should he be expected to produce more than Altuve, Bregman, Yuli, Brantley, Tucker, or Yordan? Just because he should keep his mouth shut doesn't mean he should be held more accountable to produce than the rest. I agree that all the talk was the wrong thing to do, but, that should have nothing to do with expectations put on him. In short, I don't think he needs to be hammered for his hitting or lack thereof while less production from some others gets a free pass just because they kept their mouth shut. Where were all of these quiet guys when Correa was stepping up and speaking up for the team after the scandal broke? They sat back and tried to avoid commenting while Correa stepped up and represented them. He took the heat while most of the others stayed in the background. I didn't have a lot of respect for him until he did that and became a leader last season, especially in the post season when most of the rest disappeared.

Probably something he rehearsed hours on end with the Daniella....Look Carlos, if you want to be a DB, do that next year, for your next team. As I told Saint, he needs to keep his mouth shut about a contract after he stated he wanted no mention of it until after the season. After saying that, he was dead wrong to comment on it in the media. He could leave off pointing at the wrist and he should. But, the same people complaining about that didn't have much to say when Bregman strutted for the camera and posed after hitting home runs. No doubt in my mind that Daniella will shove toward the Yankees if they throw money at him. I don't really think he wants to leave. I do think she will do all she can to get him to go to NY or LA, if they want him. I also think the Tigers will be active in trying to get him because Hinch wants him.

Now, let's get the final vote......do you want Correa to "GTFO" or retire here? Your favorite Astro wants him to stay. It's easy to figure out if you're not a mongoloid: I want him to stay if it's for a price that won't ruin our future success. I want him to GTFO if he's so unprofessional that he can't keep private business discussions out of his mouth when talking to reporters. Get it now, you dumb motherf***er? As usual, more vulgarity and name calling. I'm not the mongoloid who made two totally opposite statements within a week of each other. I don't want him to GTFO because I know the effect it would have on the team. No, he is NOT indispensable. I never said he was, but, I DID say we will be a weaker team without him. Crane has to decide if he's worth what it will take to keep him. He will make the decision, not you or me. Get it now, you clueless moron. I would use your colorful lingo but I know how to communicate without using filth, vulgarity, and cursing to get my point across. I never said it's OK for Correa to run his mouth to the media. I also never said we should go bankrupt trying to keep him. He is not going to accept a 5-6 year deal like the extensions they gave Jose and Bregman. I think Crane offers him more money than those two are getting, but, he won't get as many years as he wants.

Instead of all us arguing over who is being paid too much or wants too much, maybe it would be better if we could support all of them. On more than one occasion you wanted Altuve and Bregman to give back salary so the club could sign Springer and Correa

Some of you have no clue as to how to interpret sarcasm. I can't wait until the off season when we can put your theory about Dusty to the test. If we get to the WS, and especially if we win it, chances are Dusty will be offered a new contract. Then, we get to find out if Dusty is a "magnet that will attract free agent position players" to the Astros as you stated that he would on more than one occasion.

What role should we give him? Any f***ing role he wants. Well, I have to give him credit. He pushed the right buttons with this pitching staff the last 3 games. He made the right moves and Strom worked some magic with Valdez and Luis Garcia to turn them around. He needs to do the same with Urquidy.
