I don't have a good feeling about this The “buzz” is probably all about “how is Boras going to work this deal so that he gets the player rep fees and doesn’t have to share with the agent Correa dumped to sign with Boras Corporation.”

That’s a shame. His numbers in TB were excellent. How are they going to replace Graveman? Pressly, I think, is in his last year. I guess they’ll put a lot of faith in Neris.

The Yankees are dialing in on Freeman. Freeman deserves so much better.... The keep signing or trading for superstar players and get a negative result of winning a WS Championship. When they had their run in the late 90's and early 2000's the team core was built through the minor league system. You would think by now that would have sunk in. I guess it is going to be difficult getting the cheap tulammo now, good luck with that.

I saw some speculation and conversation about Correa, his contract, the agent issues with the new contract, etc. One guy thinks that the deal is already done for 6 years and 225mm. The problem is structuring the deal and the legal issues with structuring it so that Boras keeps the lions share of the agents end of the deal. Basically the deal would be for 6 years with an opt out after the first year. No signing bonus and a salary for 37,500,000. for the first year and if he gives up the opt out then a roster bonus for a big amount and smaller annuals after that. The idea is to get Carlos the highest AAV deal for a non pitcher and over the 35.4 I think it was for Trout. Who knows maybe true maybe not but no one else seems to be flirting with the notion of signing him right now but us. Boras aside, I can believe Crane would be on board for something like this. I have difficulty believing he'd agree to $300M+ when it's fairly obvious none of the other clubs have

Having Correa another 5 seasons if he stinks this year wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. It's not like he's Carlos Lee defensively and couldn't be moved off the position if the roster ran into a crunch

I can't help notice whoever they want to buy/rent every trade deadline they get regardless of how blue the chips are. Whoever's enabling this in the commish office and Boone are running their organization into the ground

The Tampa approach is very workable if you have excellent talent evaluators. You have to win a high percentage of those deals with you trade off your top dogs. The thing I like about Carlos coming back on board for another year is that it helps us figure out just exactly what we have in Mr Pena.

They finally found a taker for iron hands Sanchez, but they must be not sold on the shoulder injury of Urshela, that dude was clutch. How Boone still has a job is a questionable, old man Steinbrenner would have unloaded him a couple of seasons ago.

Kris Bryant has elected to not make the playoffs for the next 7 years in exchange for $182 million. The Rockies have emptied a bank for him after getting rid of Arenado and Story.

I wonder if they already have a handshake deal done and they are just trying to wordsmith the contract correctly. Correa is not really working in any other direction that I am aware of.

I don't normally feel this way, but I feel a little like the Astros aren't doing enough... Maybe it's just anxiousness wanting the season to start.

FYI the ST game vs. the Cardinals on Friday will be on MLB Network. ATT is broadcasting the games on March 24th, Marth 29th, April 2nd, and April 4th. Radio for all the other ones.

Not sure why he hasn’t accepted because it will be the best offer he likely gets. Here is the link to that quote from Twitter:
