Last I saw said Pressly had lost a couple mph off his fastball. Who knows what his off season workout was, but with a shorten ST, it could be that dead arm period usually every pitcher faces. One of the team sites said Dusty's gonna give the reserves more starts the first few weeks cause of the work stoppage and WS hangover

Why are we not in on Chris Paddack?
San Diego is looking to move away from him and I'm like WTH?

Jose Ramirez showing Correa how's it done. You mean their owner didn’t offer him a 6-year/$120 mil contract before the season?

In case no one has told you, Nathan is retarded. If anyone had any doubt, here's proof ... Why are we not in on Chris Paddack? San Diego is looking to move away from him and I'm like WTH? Verlander Odorizzi Valdez Urquidy Garcia These guys will start the season for the Astros and every one of them projects much higher than does Paddack. Plus, McMullet will be back at some time during the season and Garcia (I think he's the only one who still has options remaining) will have to go down to the minors or be relegated to the pen. The Padres would like to peddle Paddack to free up some space on their active roster. Why? Because they have better choices for starting pitchers and Chris can't be optioned. So why would the Astros want to shackle themselves to the Padres' junk?

In other news, The Tigers acquired a pretty darned good outfielder (Austin Meadows) from the Rays. The Rays got a bench level infielder (Isaac Paredes) and a Competitive Balance Round B pick in return.
The Tigers were planning to bring two top prospects, Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson, North with them when they break camp. Unfortunately, Riley Greene broke his foot last weekend.

IMO, Ramirez has proven to be worth more than Correa. So, getting it done means signing for less than your worth? Taking a huge sum (but reasonable for both parties) of money without drama or back and forth with the media and the ownership? Yeah, I think that's how a player should get it done.

Yeah, I think that's how a player should get it done. You don’t think it was dramatic to tell a player and his agent you’d get back to them but then ignore their calls and texts?

Padres get Taylor Rogers and Brent Rooker, cash Looks official
