I'm in the minority in that I don't dislike the Angels. They were my favorite AL team from the 80s until Jim Thome's fifth or sixth season With a 6 man rotation of course they most likely won't get 150 innings. so what does that matter, winning games is all that counts. The Angels are doing well because their starters are pitching well which usually translates into winning games which, as you said, is all that matters. When most of your starters fall apart you will not win games at a 60% pace. It is history, it just has not happened yet.

As I said I hope they do well, it keeps things more interesting. History shows that people follow patterns. We have McCullers and his injury history. LA has Thor, Sandoval, and Ohtani and their injury history. Also you guys have some guy, I forget his name, who is 30 and this is his first year to start a lot of games. Hard to make bank on that. If LA hangs together and puts together a solid season that is news worthy. I just do not see that happening.

Good news on Meyers:
“Meyers has been working out at the team's Spring Training complex in West Palm Beach, Fla., general manager James Click said May 14 that Meyers is throwing to bases at "high intensity" and working in some live at-bats. Click said Meyers' hitting and baserunning look good and they'll talk about a rehab assignment in the coming days.” -- Brian McTaggart (Last updated: May 14)

You're just suggesting that cause Díaz forgot to tie his shoelaces Actually I'm suggesting that cuz Goodrum doesn't look so good. Diaz may or may not be better but isn't looking so hot at the moment. Then what? A guy like McNeil would cover all the spots in the Infield and COF spots if needed and has a decent bat who could spell bye-bye to either Duaz or Goodrum in a heart beat. And Dave us incase of an Injury I forgot to give you credit for this. If they were going to upgrade the UIF position by trade, I didn't think they'd do it til August. Credit to the front office as well

Click is managing the team like he's confident we'll be in the postseason. I wouldn't be surprised if a move for a reliever is made soon, since it'd be tough to ponder anyone having confidence in Maton at the moment

He's not off to a great start and he's signed thru 2013 for like $18 million. Therefore his trade value wouldn't be very high, yet he's an excellent bounceback candidate and could be a pretty nice offensive boost once he gets going. He had a monster year in 2021 and he's never had a season where he was below-average offensively, especially for a catcher. They could use a solid young OFer like Siri or Chas to replace Pollock. Siri, Castro, and maybe one or two Class B Prospects for Grandal?

He looks mediocre in ‘22.

I hope not....Was not a fan of the Straw trade.....Need it to pan out....I like Click, but that trade befuddled me....Meyers coming back healthy and producing again will be a welcomed sight.

That half-ass effort by Castro when he committed the passed ball in yesterday’s game with a runner on third was definitely unacceptable.

What he's doing is super impressive. Yordan, Tucker, and Altuve are all having good starts, but he's a level above them when you factor in defense.

You can buy a whole lot of breakfast tacos and donuts for 35 million per year. Or pay for a pretty good bullpen, or a new catcher and center fielder, a top end starter or two back end starters, or a boat and a truck to pull it and a yeti 110 iced down with silver bullets.

Castro is trash.
