Manoah looks like he has been training at the CC and Colon health club.

I have mixed feelings about which team I want to see win the Mets vs Padres series. I absolutely detest Soto and Machado. On the other hand, I’m enjoying seeing Scherzer get knocked around.

Cardinals absolutely melted down and gave up 6 in the 9th. They’re down 6-2 now. Some of the worst post season managment of ptiching that I have seen in 10 years. It was like watcing a train wreck in slow -mo. That loss is 100% on their manager Marmol.

Exactly. Said another way, 25% of your player salary allocation set aside for a couple more years in one guy. 25% of the budget for a guy closer to his age of social security eligibility than he is to his age of emancipation.

Does this make you guys rethink the idea of offering JV a deal to exceed that of Scherzer?

Does this make you guys rethink the idea of offering JV a deal to exceed that of Scherzer? Not really. I want to resign him for 2 more years. I know it will be costly but I think he has 1-2 more great years in him. If he goes elsewhere on his own accord then that is fine. We save money and I still think we have enough starting pieces to be a contender.

If the Mets advance in the playoffs, I'm confident they'll get better outings from him. He is too good.

Rays just got out of a bases loaded, no out jam. Still scoreless in Cleveland.

It does me. I would love to sign him for one year at a time, not multiple guaranteed years. Then JV would pitch elsewhere. It might be a 3-year deal, plus a fourth year vesting option. It would be great if it was a two-year deal, with a third year vesting option.

9 shutout, 4 hit innings for Cleveland's bullpen today to send them on.

The Rays just need to move. They’re like a postseason version of the A’s.

I always felt the Bluejays were better than the Yankees. Just the Yankees had that weird first half/third of the season and then that team showed its true self.

Sitting here barely able to watch battling Covid. It has been a miserable few days so far. Already lost 10 pounds I can't eat as my throat hurts too much to swallow anything other than some warm chix broth.

The question is would you have walked Santana or pitched to him as I said you really on hit HRs when they are needed.
