The Angels will be no good as long as they have the likes of Trout, Rondon and Mr. 2 way player.

Watching Ohtani everyday is still worth it. We had the 6th best pitching in the AL last year. With Rendon hurt, Fletcher hurt, Walsh hurt (tried playing through an injury poorly and opting for surgery), Ward was tearing it up before running into a wall, Trout with his biggest slump before missing a month or so with a back problem our offense fell off a cliff. But once Trout returned it was too late but Trout returned to form hitting 40 HRs in 119 games.
We have a catcher in the AA that had 14 AB in Sept/Oct with the LAA: 286/.375/.286/.661, but in AA:
2022 22 PHI-LAA-min AA 104G/447PA/360AB/72R/102/14.2B/1.3B/26HR/78RBI/.283/.416/.544/.961. Rengifo, and Ward had breakout seasons so with some clever signings I feel we could make the playoffs. I don't think we are that far away, if and it's a big if stay healthy for the entire season for a change.

The Mariners are going to be buyers in the off-season. They have a ton of cap space. I don't see the Angels getting passed them anytime soon. |
