So the PR vs. DR game tonight is for advancement. The loser is out since Venezuela swept their pool. Either of those teams not making it to the quarterfinals is a little crazy, but the DR, as stacked as they are, would be a big upset to not advance.

Mexico and Urquidy are off to an early lead. Looks like USA won't be able to back in to the quarterfinals. They'll need to beat Colombia tonight to advance.

In a 4-game tournament, China finished the full 4 games behind the first place team. Haha They were probably using cheap Chinese-made equipment.

Woof. That's at least 22 missed calls by my count.

Looks like Edwin Diaz blew out his knee celebrating the win for Puerto Rico. The Mets collapse is starting earlier than normal!

The Mutts will never let another player participate in this silly series now.

The Mutts will never let another player participate in this silly series now. Even though it wasn't a pitching injury, this will definitely hurt with getting the top pitchers to participate.

Well, USA advances but not super convincingly...

The catcher for Columbia looks like he might work for one of the drug lords when not playing baseball.

So the winner of USA and Venezuela will go on to play Cuba. The winner of PR and Mexico will play Japan.
I think things are leading towards a Venezuela vs Japan championship.

Looks like Edwin Diaz blew out his knee celebrating the win for Puerto Rico. The Mets collapse is starting earlier than normal! I am amazed that more injuries don’t occur during these post game celebrations. I mean you have 26 players, plus whoever else decides to join the party, all charging onto the field and forming a tight group, all jumping up and down in unison. Feet have got to be getting stomped over and over.

The WBC can't be blamed for this injury. He does more strenuous workouts in the gym or stretching before the game. His knee was going to give out either way, I'm convinced.

Mexico with the upset over PR. Insult to injury, literally, for Diaz and PR.
