Julks and Salazar still haven’t been added to the 40-man roster. They still haven't moved anyone to the IL...

Julks and Salazar still haven’t been added to the 40-man roster. They still haven't moved anyone to the IL... IIRC in order to open a spot on the 40-man roster someone has to be placed on the 60-day IL. Do we have anyone on the 40-man who we could move to the 60-day IL? I guess Altuve. Anyone else?

MLBTR reporting that Matijevic and Madris have been DFA’d to make room for Julks and Salazar on the 40-man roster.

JV is starting the season on the IL with some type of strain. They're going to reevaluate in a week. So glad we didn't pay him $40 million a year, as much as I would have liked to have him back.

So the Astros did not place Altuve on the 60-day IL... That means they're thinking there is at least a small chance he could be ready by May 29th...

We should call the Brewers see if they want Dubon. They are hurting in the middle infielders spots. Also Meyers gotta go down if he can't hit. Everything else looks fine so far Diaz not hitting is wierd. Seems like he is very eager when he is up to bat. To much in a hurry

Bligh Madris and J.J. Matijevic both cleared waivers and have been outrighted to AAA. They are no longer on the 40-man roster.

Rays looking mean early. 6-0 Great start, though in fairness, it was against Detroit and Washington. We'll see how they hold up.

Rays are now 9-0. What is the longest streak on the opening of the season? 82 Braves and 87 Brewers both won 13 to start their season.

The hottest start to a season that I can recall would be the 1984 Detroit Tigers. They started 9-0 then went on to win 35 of their first 40 games. They won the World Series that year.

The Rays have an incredible +57 run differential so far. They've only allowed an average of 2 runs per game.
Interestingly despite our losing record, we have a +3 differential.

The Pythagorean theorem shows that if the Astros hitters would have hit better, pitchers pitch better and Dusty would have managed better, then the Astros would be undefeated too.

Our current expected W-L is 5-5. Which would put us just a half game out of 1st place despite our struggles.

The Rays have 7 hitters with an OPS over 1.000, including Siri who is now on the 10-day IL. Also, their top-3 starting pitchers have only given up 2 ER in 38 innings.
