I also think the pitch count benefits the pitchers more. I'll be curious to see if the boost from the shift gets gets mitigated by the rushing from the pitch count.

Also, why implement all these rules this season? Why not role out half of them this year and half next year? Just seems like so much for the players and coaches to have to incorporate into what is already engrained in their heads. There is going to be a learning curve so roll them out over a few seasons.
