The Rays have 7 hitters with an OPS over 1.000, including Siri who is now on the 10-day IL. Also, their top-3 starting pitchers have only given up 2 ER in 38 innings. The posters anytime someone mentions Siri around here.

Evan Gattis’s drunkass on Twitter saying the Astros cheated in the 2017 Postseason. Dude needs some help. Anyways, I saw someone ask if there was any truth to the buzzers. He said he doubted it, but if there was truth that Altuve would not have used them.

In the end that's really the biggest shame of all of it. Altuve seems to be genuinely an impressive person on top of being a great player, and he'll forever be tied to it.

Gattis just trying to stir up crap to maybe get some interviews and make a buck.

There's an easy way to settle this. Produce the video of the Astros cheating with the can-bangs during the playoffs. Like the ones they recorded that summer and broadcast after the scandal broke. Someone even catalogued each bang into a graph for every cheater, what days they cheated and how many at-bats they cheated that day

Rays are 11-0, three more wins would set a new season-opening record.

Ian Happ, who is five months from free agency at age 29, just signed a...three year extension? What the heck?
Why don't any of our players want to sign deals like that with us LOL.

It's really good to see Urquidy having some early success. He had kind of been viewed as the odd man out if we made a trade, but it's a good thing we've kept him.
Now if we can just get Garcia back on track, the rotation is coming along well. If Lance is able to come back healthy, I hope they explore a 6-man rotation option to keep the rotation stretched out but rested. A huge part of our success last year was having the core of the bullpen rested for the postseason. If we're able to have the starters go a little deeper in games to save the bullpen for the long haul, that will make a world of difference again.
And the emergence of Julks (if it lasts) suddenly has our OF depth not looking like as big of a concern. The low walk rate won't matter if he continues to hit .300 with power.
Altuve 2B Brantley/Julks LF/DH Bregman 3B Yordan DH/LF Tucker RF Abreu 1B Chas CF Pena SS Diaz C
Bench: Hensley, Dubon, Maldonado, Julks/Brantley
That could be a kickass lineup...

I mentioned a while ago that it was odd that they were carrying one less pitcher than allowed. Maybe the plan is indeed a six-man rotation, sending Salazar down probably (especially since Diaz has looked so good behind the plate when they actually let him play) for McCullers. Brown has absolutely nothing to learn or prove in AAA at this point, no way should they send him down. Either a six-man rotation, or a rotating five man rotation where all the starters get to skip a start in order, or get to work just a few innings out of the pen every fifth week or something. Julks' underlying numbers give me no real confidence he'll keep it up long-term. But maybe he does enough to be a trade piece at the deadline.

If you had to redraft the 2017 draft, Chas McCormick and Josh Rojas would go in the top 5 picks. [Daulton Varsho would be number one]

I just tuned into MLB network and they have a homely looking woman with her hair dyed pink, parted down the middle of her head with about an inch of solid black hair at the roots. I can’t believe the network would let her come to the studio looking like that. It was so distracting that I just cut the TV off.

The power seems legit, and his plate discipline isn't awful. I'm not saying he'll be anything great, but, even if he is just another Chas-level OFer he'd have plenty of value while he is cheap and controllable.
